It’s a little beaten up because it’s old. I’m actually kind of just borrowing it from my father. It’s a good bass and it has active pickups.

Yes, almost exactly like that except the pickups on it are the originals and the head has nothing on it except what it came with.

I know this is a UK forum but I thought I’d join. My bass is an Austin Hatchet bass, they’re not well known really. I’ve been learning for a few weeks now.
