  1. UPDATE well i sorted my ignition violin bass here's how ! get a fret rocker find the culprit frets when identified all the high frets loosen truss rod to straighten neck and if you have ( if not get one ) a fret hammer and tap the high fret back in no need for luthier or to level frets sometimes the frets are just not seated in enough ! great little bass now ...... regards .. tony

You do realize that Thomann got  a full 30 days, no questions asked, return policy, right?

Also I am a bit of a gramma nazi, so can't take your post seriously.

Well like I said had a bad experience with thomman regarding a ibanez talman bass which arrived with knobs hanging off and was told too ask a friend  or someone who was handy to tighten them back on   luckily am not a beginner.  So I did it myself.  But the point is I had a bad experience..  then I got a hb Tele and the pickups were like microphones.    So I would never by from thomman. Saying that.  Modern ibanez I wouldn't thank you for either. Just my preference....   Don't understand. Ya bein uppety ( slang). About grammar I was answering you or was it I don't do Harley Benton's ?

The Harley Benton Beatbass (Höfner Violin/Beatles Bass clone) is both cheaper and better than the cheapest Chinese made budget Höfner ones: https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_beatbass.htm

Iyou might be right but I had a bad experience with a hb guitar. So I wouldn't take a chance again. Also I could not gig with a hb guitar. Am a bit of a gear snob  😔 soz  the hofner does sound good too with rounds on.

Little demo I don with it

  4. just got a ignition violin bass in black. And it looks good. But the action was a bit high for my taste. So I lowered the saddle. (is their a easy way to do this rather than to detune everytime ?). And I got fret buzz. So I highered it back up. Fret buzz adjusted truss rod fret buzz can't get rid off it now !!! Mostly on my d string... It a awkward bass too set up. The Mrs is avin a go cos I spent about 5hrs trying too sort it ! Next step I might get new strings. Am a rounds guy. Only tried flats once. On my jazz bass but for the music I play in a cover band needs rounds on.... Felt like throwing this bass through the window... But she looks so cute

  5. I bought a ibanez tmb100. In 2020. And I had to pay customs etc. But I think that's all gone now. ... Anyway the bass was the worst bass I've had. And on arrival the knobs were almost falling off... Fixed them myself. Played it didn't like it sold it 👍

  7. As a child I was obsessed with bass but  didn't know it, at the time but I used to turn my stereo speakers upside down and put my ear on it for that pumping sound which was the bass..  I then discovered if I play my records faster speed the bass line pops out..at 12 I got a violin bass I didn't learn untill I was 17.  I gigged in bands from 18 till 40 odd. I now teach kids with special needs musical workshop. I haven't gigged for years but !!!! November 3rd this. Year  Am gigging again at the age of 58 in a function with some guys I know who are in their late 60s. Ha ha I feel like the kid in the band.... Now days I do a lot of recording writing songs. .... Just hang in their buddy. It comes back when ya don't expect it
