  1. Anyone using a ignition bass for other things than Beatles covers? For gigging or just jamming?

its a bass guitar so should be able to be used for other music styles?

is anyone using there’s for general covers gigging? Any limitations?
i enjoy the lightness of this bass and it’s so much fun with no back pain for me!
    Whats your experiences?

  2. Hi

I currently have a 70s Vibe Squire Jazz which is good .......however I have been looking at the new Player series Jazz bass. Is the Player Series Jazz bass a significant improvement on the70 s vibe, the price of the Player series is double (new price comparisons) which would suggest it is? Unfortunately the USA ones are out of my budget of £600/650

  3. I’m looking for a short scale or 3/4 size electro acoustic bass, I have a full length acoustic bass but with the length of neck and sheer size of the body it’s not comfortable to play.

do they exist? Would also be interested in just an acoustic bass

any recommendations? As always cheap (most affordable) as possible

  4. I currently own a modified bronco, is that the same size neck and body as a mustang?

when I play the bronco I get some fret buzz, even though the guitar is set up, but when I play other short scale or full scale I don’t. When I compare the  heads all heads seem more ankled back so strings are more stretched over the nut compared to the bronco whose head is straighter.

i was thinking of buying a mustang but don’t want the same fuzz problems, any other good short scale options?

  5. I have owned many more expensive basses but keep coming back to my bronco bass, it puts the biggest smile on my face. I have several questions on these basses.

if looked after will they last? As it’s only a low cost bass

would you use it for performances?

What modifications could I do to add to it to give improvement

i have always had the opinion you get what you pay for and as these basses are fairly inexpensive, can they really be this good? It seems an incredible instrument for very little money? Or am I missing something?

  6. Thanks all for the replies, much appreciated

i just have one question/ observation.......no one seems to have mentioned Ibanez who do a lot of guitars in my price range, is there no love for Ibanez or is there’s just better with other brands. Noted it’s opinion I was just curious

  7. Hi,

I currently have a Ibanez 300e and a Squire P Bass and I’m looking at getting an upgrade to my collection. I’ve looked at Fenders (Mim) and Ibanez but I like the look of 2 Yamaha’s the B.B. 434 and 734. They play great but I don’t know anything about them or anyone who has one?

Are these good basses? Any advice? I really like the 734 the most!

    cheers
