  1. Sorry, was having a moment! Hopefully they’re up now
  2. Hey folks, I'm selling my Fender Coronado II 2013 resissue. Bought back in 2015 as my first 'proper' bass but never gelled with it. Bought a stingray and pretty much left this to gather dust. Happy to sell, but also open to trades, particularly another short scale (looking at you Fender Mustang!). Also open to reasonable offers. Would absolutley prefer if buyer collects. Based in Salisbury, Wiltshire but happy to travel a reasonable amount. Would rather do the exchange in person, that way everyone is happy! Buyer could arrange a courier at their own cost/risk, I would really rather not though due to previous nightmare experiences. Some details: 30" scale neck Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard Maple body, I believe All original parts, no modifications. Currently has flatwound strings on (not sure what make, long time ago) Please note that it is a fairly heavy bass, around the 4.5kg area. A few scratches and dings from 10 years of pretty light playing, nothing major though. I've tried to photograph as best as possible. The pick guard still had the plastic wrap on it, that’s what looks a bit bad in the pictures. It's a really nice bass, I could just never get along with it. It deserves a loving home where it'll be played! If you have any questions or further comments, please hit me up!!
  3. Thanks snorkie, if I can't come up with something good then I probably will to be fair! It still feels great, it's literally just an aesthetics thing. It might grow on me in time?
  4. Hey everyone, Just wondering if anybody on here has done something similar or may have some wisdom to share? Whilst recently cleaning 7+ years of dirt of the neck with a slightly damp microfiber cloth (very silly, I now know!) I ended up taking off some of the lacquer finish on about 1/3 of the neck. I've re-coated it with Birchwood Casey tru-oil and gunstock wax (as per Musicman recommendation), so the neck seems protected and feels the nicest I have ever had it! However, I'd really like to restore the finish back to it's former glory! I'm just not sure how best to proceed with this job, as information about how these necks were finished seems to be fairly hard to find on the internet. If you need more info please just ask, I'd be happy to have a chat about it Thanks!!
