It was all bottom end, very little treble.

Amazingly the speakers live on in a friend's Marshall 4x12 to this day.

That's interesting to me because both Bruce Foxton and Lemmy rolled the low end totally off!

im also not convinced about the Harris thing. His preamp is a cone of a 70's hi watt. As far as I'm aware the only Marshall connection is the cab boxes, which he loads with ev speakers

Yeah, I believe you guys are correct on that although he used Marshall cabs for years. It was a tube amp / 4x12 sound none the less. 

Let's look at a partial list...
Chris Squire
Jack Bruce
John Entwhistle
Steve Harris
Lemmy
Bruce Foxton
Noel Redding, etc. etc.

Are we missing something? Was that sound a part of their success or was it merely that these amps/stacks were the state-of-the-art for the time?

Ok, I realize most bassists don't need a wah, so consider this a bit of info-tainment. This is a Wilson "12 Position Wah". 
Wah has it's place sometimes. Thoughts / experiences?

It's a lot of the same comment on the US "talkbass" forum. I think that this company is pretty responsive, so you never know.

One thought I saw someone have would be to lay the pedal out horizontally like the Camel Toe and have separate buttons for the sections. THAT would be useable to me. After tinkering with the pedal, for me personally there's zero reason I would ever run both simultaneously. It would be a wall of mush. The pedal is not subtle.lol

Greetings from California! My first time around here. So I'm new to doing the demo thing, but Dunlop/MXR came to me (to do a demo) with a new product (they own Way Huge now) the Pork & Pickle. They were going to release this thing at the NAMM show in Los Angeles but it was leaked prematurely and now it's shipping from most online sources. 

Check it out if you have a minute. Great pedal for nice overdrive or classic muff/fuzz tones, but optimized for bass with that clean-blend control.
