  1. Dear diary, today I received the nicest compliment from a FoH: "We kept you on mute in the front because it was loud enough from the stage". Not a tiny bit angry, rather delighted. AWESOME! 🤘Meanwhile, the guitarist: "Turn up the volume." 🤣

Huge kudos to Quilter! I had bought an EBS Reidmar 752 especially for this purpose, which can safely deliver 2 ohms. Unfortunately, I had forgotten the most important speaker cable: Speakon to jack. The Reidmar has no combo jack, only Speakon. (A real shame if you ask me!) The Ampegs again only have a jack. This drives me crazy...

Anyway, I got the little Quilter BB800 out of the car, rumored to be capable of 2 ohms, contrary to official claims. The result: it delivered! ❤️🤘

  2. I love the diamond! The old Jr. at 18V was one of the best comps I ever played. The new mid control seems like a great addition. I just real don‘t get why they don‘t have a little bump when the tilt EQ is in neutral position.

  3. You all got me gassing real hard for the good old LMB3. I have tried a lot of comps and have a feeling that this one could suit me well.

On this topic, has anyone tried a PJB Compact C2? Very small but I'm thinking it'll be good for smallish gigs with an amp like a TC BAM200. Trying to figure out the most portable but usable setup....

One C2 will work for small coffee house gigs. But I can tell you two of them are quite surprising and will sound better / fuller. They are sooo cute and easy to carry!

I just played a tour rocking 2x PJB C4 and was VERY happy with the sound.

yes it's easy - just make sure you get the correct thread size when ordering the FC. i did the same on mine a couple of weeks ago and it was a 10 minute job, if that.

Anyway managed to sort out the problem with cable ties! Not the most attractive of solutions but does the job and solves the issue of the wire getting squashed in the case. Gonna figure out how to mount my K&K preamp now, I'm thinking heavy duty velcro strips... http://basschat.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/%3C#EMO_DIR%23%3E/blink.png

Hey guys, sorry for resurrecting this old threat. I own a SLB200 LTD and would like to give the Full Circle a shot. Which one would be the right version to order? Can you help me avoid making a mistake? Also, do you still use your basses with this setup? What are your favorite strings on these? Kind regards from Berlin, Steve!

  6. Hi there,

I was interested in building a cab by myself and have just discovered the world of BFM. How has this cab been working out for you after all these years? Do you still use it? Or anybody else? Am thinking of giving a Jack 10 a shot as I don't need a lot of low end and prefer to stack more than stacked on top of another.

I'd really like if you could post a verdict after all this time. Thanks in advance!

  7. I love my passive California TT... it's got the thermo and vibration treatment and plays smoOoth! Sonds killer through a GK 700RB MKII...
