    Sounds like a pickguard for US p bass, so would fit MIM ok. Being a third party pickguard you will probably have to file the holes for the pups.

    Good to note, thanks. Being Amazon Prime though, if it doesn't fit I'll send it back and get a better one 😉

  2. Hi all,

    Quick question; I have purchased a red Fender Mex standard (2008) P Bass on ebay, that I hope to collect this weekend. I want to change the scratchplate from white to black. There's a cheap one on Amazon Prime that looks perfect, but the plate has a truss-rod adjustment rout in the neck base area. Will this make any difference to whether it'll fit? I don't mind if it looks a bit weird (grunge innit) but just wondered if it was likely to cause other issues. Thanks :)

  3. I have a Yamaha RBX270, great for what I paid for it, but very modern and zingy. Weighs nothing.

    The RBX170 is absolute bottom of the range, great on a budget but not much else. The 370a has active circuitry but is otherwise a 270 in build. The 760a IIRC has figured wood, translucent finish, gold hardware etc and was basically top of the RBX range at the time.

    The BB is a different beast entirely and the very old and very new ones are much more classic in design and style. For a time they went to a more modern style, before heading back towards the slightly more fendery design they are today.

  4. I use the Mooer rechargeable micro power thing for my bass board, which has a TU2, a compressor, a cheap Joyo preamp and a distortion pedal. I haven't counted the hours of use, but I probably manage 3-4 rehearsals, so say 10 hours between recharges?

  5. Hiya, couple of questions about the Jazz;

    - What is the origin of the neck? It doesn't have the lined truss rod socket that MIM Fenders have, so I assume it's non-original?

    - The pictures show two cracks running downwards from the battery installation all the way to the lower edge. How deep/structural is this? Is the wood underneath alright?

    Cheers!

  6. Hello, newbie to the forum here :)

    I use a Spector Q4 Pro (Korean made) as my main bass at the moment and I absolutely love it. I'm not a professional bassist by any stretch of the imagination, but I tend to play heavier rock styles, and I struggled a bit with the jazz bass I had previously, possibly due to the much thinner neck and although I loved the shape and feel, it really felt like I couldn't thrash away on it, especially in a lower tuning, as it just felt 'floppy'. The Spector is much better in that respect; maybe the combination of a thicker neck and a much sturdier bridge helps, and the EMGs give it a decent punch too.
