Just wanted to say thanks your post. My mom bought me almost the exact bass brand new of the rack in 1985......and I never played it ..... It sat in her attic for over 30 years. I got it out a month ago took it to a friend to look at. The neck was fine. Spent a few bucks on new strings and a set up and it sounds great!!! I'm fortunate to be surrounded by a thriving musical community with several bass players... and they all love it.
