2. I currently own a Classic Stingray 5 and have owned a number of 'standard' SR5's in the past. I completely support what Pete has written - the Classic is a very different beast to the 'standard' 5. Both are wonderful, but Ernie Ball has absolutely nailed the pre-EB Stingray vibe with these basses. I highly recommend trying one.

  3. I've not visited or bought anything from Bass Merchant so cannot comment on them. However, I've had many dealings with Mark at Bass Direct both in person and via t'internet and phone and he is always very helpful, straightforward, and interested. His customer service is first rate. When I had a problem he went out of his way to sort things for me. If you haven't been to the shop it is well worth a trip. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

  4. I've been away for the past few days and have only just heard the news. I'm absolutely gutted. I got to know Si pretty well over the past couple of years. He was always a complete gent, was great fun, and a good friend to me. If he could help you in any way, he would. I'll miss him terribly. Words fail me. RIP mate.

  5.
I run one of these with my IP112 rig and it sounds fantastic. I also record with it, where it sounds equally good.
Thanks. Yes, it does sound wonderful whether used live or for recording. Beautiful warm and clean Class A sound. It needs a good home cos I don't use it anywhere near often enough to justify keeping it.

  6. This is in excellent condition having only been used occasionally by myself over the past few years. I bought it in 2005 from the original owner who used it in their studio. It comes complete with all the manuals and also includes the optional RM-1 rack ears which cost around £65 from Dolphin Music. It is boxed and is encased in a thick foam sleeve.

I am selling it as it is surplus to my needs.

If you have any questions at all please ask.

£350 for local collection in the Cardiff area, for anybody living further afield please PM me.

    No trades sorry.
