Berde have Huge string tension so it is very hard to play it ” single “ fingered” as double bass and basguitar we usualy use combination index finger solo , than 1+ 2 , 2+3 or 3+4th finger
Some Oberkainer musician use freeted doublebass it coud be intresting to try !
There Are some pictures of plectrums and picks that I use - some Made from plastic , leather , and sandwich - leathe- plastic- leather .

I’am also play “berde “ - bass tambura, our national instrument - look a Like double bass but with freeted neck , that comes on body strait above , not like on doublebass on angle ( if you reed me ) and we play it with a huge 3 inch pick ! ( there some pitures to see what is it all about )
Changed a ton of basses : from old Fender’s p and j to MM Stingray , Fujigen , Neuser , Tobias , Lakland , Maruszczyk etc 😄 . Currently have Flea signature jb
