3. Hi there. After a couple of recent purchases (musicman stingray and aerodyne jazz bass) I've decided I no longer need my German made Warwick Corvette. I've had it a couple of years and it's been gigged. Has a thumb rest mark by the neck and a little light use marks but very few and very minimal. Good condition, great Warwick tone. Have a look pick up preferred. I am in Lincoln. I will post though if necessary at your expense

  4. Hi Basschatters

Went round to a mates house this week to watch the St Pauli game on t'internet and we chatted about all things musical as you do. Turns out he bought a 70's P bass in about '85 for 50 quid and still has the thing.

It's got a few issues that need sorting out most urgently is the missing neck plate which is not doing the rear of the body of the bass any favours at all

So what I would like is do any of you P Bass owners happen to have a photo of an original 70's neck plate so I can source him a replacement and help him get this little bit of nostalgia back into the state it deserves?

    Cheers

    Gary

  5. I have tried it out through my Gallien Krueger head and ampeg cab with my punk band. I usually use my Rickenbacker and the SUB doesn't match up, but we all know that. For 300 quid though, it's great value. Most importantly, it FEELS nice to play, yes the neck is thin, but only the same as a jazz bass and it's a nice contrast to my Ric. Played it through a PA with my other band (Irish Folk/Instrumental band) and it is a little lively in the sound dept for that. The RIC is much more suitable, but I think it's going to be ideal for the punk band, sounds nice and raw and fits well. But again, for 300 quid it is outstanding value
