Gallien Krueger Legacy 800 combo.
Current model, purchased new in August, only played a couple of times at home but a snapped Achilles tendon and quiet acoustic gigs for the foreseeable future means a very small modular system is now the order of the day.
So this is as new not a mark on it and comes with all packaging, cables footswitch etc.
The important specs are -
2x12 neo speakers + switchable compression driver
800w at 4ohm internal
800w at 8ohm external
800w at 4ohm external
Just 19kg (it is the limited run cloth grill lighter version)
H = 27"
W =19"
D = 15"
4 band eq, overdrive blend, input gain trim, eq pre-shapes.
You are welcome to come and have a play in the east midlands between Peterborough and Grantham, I could also meet within reasonable distances.

Price Drop - £1,400
Immaculate example of this 33" 16.5mm string spacing bass. Built in 2015
Purchased from LZD56 of this parish in 2017, and it has been used for home practice ever since so does not have a mark on it.
The guitar is an absolute pleasure to play, currently set up fairly low.
The electronics are the classic twin jazz pickups with a phantom 2nd winding to cancel noise. With a John East designed flat response buffer pre-amp to purely replace any signal lost via the guitar lead to the amp input. swamp ash body, marple neck. single bridge pieces and Hipshot ultra light turners. It is also lovely looking with a satin natural finish with black hardware.
It comes complete with an Overwater hard case, (one small ding in it), an almost new set of Chromes plus a set of Overwater roundwounds in the case. All original candy including certificate, and set up Allen keys.
In addition a second set of pick ups are included. The Overwater pups are an excellent transparent. If you want an older school colour a set of Norstrand Big J Blades 'Warm' are included. (purchased recently from Bass Direct £155), The pick up wiring in the Overwater is plug and play, no soldering required.
Total price new for this bundle is now £2,700.
An absolute pleasure to play but family life has got in the way so playing will have to be put on hold for a while. I am 30 mins north of Peterborough, you are welcome to come have a play or I can deliver/meet within a reasonable distance.

Hello
UP for sale is this lovely PJ.
I purchased this a few weeks ago from Bassdirect, and I am using their pics and blurb. (Hope that's OK), If you want any more pics let me know, and I'll take some myself.
I am going back and forth about selling it as it is a truly wonderful instrument, but I have picked up my perfect Overwater so am trying to balance the books.
These retail at £1200 currently and I have to say it is a step up from the MIA Fenders I have had in terms of fit, finish, and pups.
This one was sold by Bassdirect for one of their regular customers who buys basses for their studio album projects and then sends them to BD. It has not left the house since I got it.
It is honestly in new condition. Not a mark or scratch. weighs just 3.9 KG
The pups are really great, on their own and together, very articulate and no mud. The neck is a dream, very fast and perfectly pleked. I have it set up at 2mm on the 12th fret.

So as you can tell I would be happy to keep this one, but SWMBO has strict rules on keeping the number of basses to a minimum. I have listed it at a bit less than I paid for it and I will include a set of Chromes I picked up at Bassdirect when I got the bass, along with the Lakland rounds that came with it. A good quality gig bag is also included.
You are welcome to come and have a play. I am close to the A1 between Peterborough and Grantham. Pick up is preferred but I can post at cost if required.
This is my first ad so sorry if it is not formatted properly.
So now ignore all this and then I can tell the boss that no one wants it and I might as well keep it.🙂

I have the 4 string Overwater Scotty with the same 33" neck and 16.5mm spacing and can confirm it really does play itself. Lovely instruments.

Hi Rob,
Can you tell me about the neck, I assume it's a jazz style. Do you know the nut width and string spacing?

Hi Nick,
I am interested in lessons for sure. I have sent a text. Cheers Jon

Sorry about the hand issue.
I have had several SS basses, Ibanez, Chowny, mustang, Jaguar, maruszczyk, Hofner etc. The one I liked the most was the Sterling Stingray, lovely bass. The best value bass to Dip your toe in the water was the SX Precision, which can be had for £200ish new or £100 s/h on ebay. The one I had was better than the Fender Mustang it replaced.
In the end going from 34" to 30" and back was a bit much for me, (although if you move exclusively to 30" I don't think it will be a problem), so I settled on 32".
