  1. Bananana Effects Matryoshka Bass Synth.

A great little pedal with some crazy but incredibly usable sounds.

If you know what it is then you know how good it is.

£140 posted to UK mainland. Tracked and insured.

I can't find the box as I've just moved home.

PayPal or bank transfer accepted or cash on collection.

  2. Intended as a backup but bought a USA Music Man instead.
Volume, bass and treble controls, single humbucker, 9v preamp. I can offer a cheapo gig bag and strap to go with it.
It could do with some new strings so I'll throw a set of D'Addario 45-135 XL strings.
    £250 collected from Llanelli/Neath.
    Will post at buyers expense.

  3.

PRICE REDUCED - I've something I need in my life so reducing all gear to buy.
    WAS £575
    NOW - £525

    Lakland Skyline 5501
I had this, sold it, longed to own it again, bought it but I've used it twice since I've had it back. Only bested by my USA Musicman.

This has the Bartoloni Mk1/Fishman pickups and 9v preamp.
Hipshot tuners, 3 band EQ, pickup blend, master volume and push/pull on the volume to switch between passive/active.

Has a little wear on neck as pictured but honestly effects nothing, not even the feel of this incredible playing instrument.
Sounds fantastic and pops out of the mix without fiddling with the preamp.

Levy's Lakland padded gig bag included.

    Collection preferred

  4. I'm looking to change my rig up a bit and was looking at the EBS 450 head and Classicline 212 cab.

Anyone have any solid reviews on tone and power?

I'm terms of power the head is 450watts at 2ohms and the cab is 500watts at 4ohms so I'm unsure as to how much power I'll be getting in terms of wattage.

All in all it *looks* like a good amp.. Something with a solid amount of power for most gig scenarios and generally good portability and I've own/have owned EBS products and I'm happy with quality and reliability.

Does anyone have any real life experience with one of these set ups?

  5. Sold outside of Basschat

PRICE REDUCED - I've something I need in my life so reducing all gear to buy.
Was £650 - Now £550 if all bought together.
    Cab £475
    Head £150

A powerful, lightweight bass head and cab setup.
The only issue is that springs in the handles on one of the cabs no longer spring the handles back and one of the knobs for the tweeter on one of the cabs is missing ut shaft intact so can still easily be adjusted.
Speaker cables and power cable not included. Head will come with a laptop bag as a carry case.
Cabs are 250 watts @ 8 ohms and weigh just 11kg each.
I'd prefer the cabs to go together but may sell head separately.
    £600 collected from Llanelli/Neath.
    Cash offers considered.

    • Third generation Neodymium loudspeakers
    • Covered with resistant felt

All of those inputs should be electronically identical, you can use it any way around.

What is it you're trying to do?

My head only has 1 jack out so I'm trying to link them to without blowing anything up

The only downside is I've had to build a series speakon adapter to bring the impedance of the two cabs up to 8 ohms, as the GK won't run into 2 ohms.

I'd be interested in finding out more about this cable.
    I have and EBS 110 250watts at 8ohms and a 115 300watt at 4ohms with an Ampeg PF800 head 400watts at 8ohms or 800watts at 4ohms minimim load.

  8. I've been trying to go all neo cab but keeping a fair amount of power at the same time along with my Ampeg PF800 head which I love!

I wanted cabs that were light but still projected well and sounded good. I managed to pick up an EBS Neo110 and wanted to get a 2nd cab to compliment it with a bit more ooompf so I saw the 115 version and went with that.

    Here was the error.
I didn't do my research until the cab came through the door today.
    The 110 is 250 at 8 ohms.
    The 115 is 300 at 4 ohms.
My head is 800 at 4 ohms minimum load.
Meaning I can't use the cabinets together.
Doh! Anyway, after a ton of research and probably some serious mocking on various FB bass pages it's obvious that this combination of cabinets will never work.
Now I am in a rut. I need a small setup for larger gigs where we use the full PA and need only a small bit of volume for monitoring and then an extra cabinet that can be used with the 110 for that extra well for when we don't use the big rig and don't have the PA capacity to run it all through but still using the Ampeg PF800 head. I've yet to find a nek cabinet or combination of neo cabs that meets the power requirements needed to keep up with the PF800. To top it off, my budget is spent on 2 cabinets that can't be used either together or separate from the head :(

Any advice would be outstanding. I'm ready to give up amd go back to breaking my back and wrecking my car with my old SVT810E cabinet but I reallt don't want to do that.

  9. Unfortunately not the SCR DI. The single stomp preamp is the one I have. Half the money of the SCR DI and I wouldn't use the drive side so bought the single stomp and a DI box. Would an Eq pedal do the job for the fizz?

Cab sims are usually used when recording direct or for when you want to feed the PA an amp-like sound, particularly to remove the top end fizz from distortion/fuzz.
    [/quote]

Just to clarify (as I've just moved to DI my board...)
If using fuzz would you consider it essential to use a cab simulator?
I'm gonna be running my pedals into the Ampeg Classic Analog Preamp pedal then direct into a passive DI with no cab sim. I'm worried that I'll end up getting the evils from the sound guy at gigs...

  11. I love my EBS Unichorus. I really do but for some reason I've noticed it starts clipping in my IEMs but not my front of house mix.
While the effect is engaged I lose volume as the chorus dips down but as it goes back up it clips.
Weird thing is that it mainly happens on my A, D, G strings all around the neck.
I've got the blue a black version, not the later green and black 'studio' version.
Both knobs set to 10 o'clock.
    Any advice?
For reference my signal chain is Fender Elite Jazz V -> Korg Pitchblack Tuner -> MXR M87 Bass Compressor -> EHX Nano Big Muff Bass -> EBS Unichorus -> Joyo Time Magic Delay -> Behringer BDI21 -> Ampeg PF800
