  1. Hi,

Having recently bought an Orange AD200, I’m now looking to move my Aguilar on to a new home.

I bought this new 5 years ago from GAK and still have the original box and booklets which came with the purchase. Please see the pictures attached.

It’s gigged but you’d hardly tell - other than two tiny marks on the top (no idea how that happened as I’m very careful with my gear) it looks brand new.

I never bothered buying a branded carry case for the amp - I was kindly gifted a laptop case by a friend and it’s lived in that, which I’ll include in the sale if you’d like?

Pick up from Leeds is preferred but I can ship this recorded delivery at buyers expense.

From a smoke and pet-free home.

I’m open to trades but certainly not a Head. It’s a long shot but I’d be interested in:

    Cali76 + cash my way

    Vanderkley cab

    Baer cab

    Berg’ cab

    Try me...

It's likely exceeding the current capacity of the supply, a cursory google says the donner has a max draw of 140mA. Not sure which Joyo supply you're using but on most of them most of the outputs are 100mA max. You'll need to figure out which output has a higher current capacity (probably 500mA) and try it on that one.

    Hi mate,

just wanted to thank you for helping me out. I pulled up the tech details for the power bank and you were right, I plug the power bank into the 500ma input and the pedal now works.

    Thanks again.

  3. HI,

I picked up a Donner Echo Square Delay Pedal today. I plan to use it very sparingly in my tribute band, so didnt' want to go out and throw £150+ at it.

When I use my PSU direct into the pedal, it's great. No problems. However, when I plug the PSU into my JOYO Multi Power Supply and click the pedal to engage it, an almighty low end noise occurs. It's like a low-end alarm clock.

I think I'll have to power my other pedals with the JOYO, and use a separate PSU for the Donner, but before I go off and buy one, does anyone know what is causing it?

FYI no matter where I put the pedal in the chain; it makes the sound. It's literally caused (I think) by the JOYO

  4. Just thought I’d pick this back up. I’ve still got the cab and still think it’s the best cab I’ve heard for it’s size! So much punch with La Bella’s and works a treat with our drummer.

Id love another but I think at this stage it will have to wait - one day! 🙏🏻

IMO you should be buying pickups and onboard pre amps for their tone and you should be looking to the amp to provide the volume you require.

If you have to spend time trying to tame the signal from a bass it is not a good thing. And a too hot signal from your bass will probably limit the effectiveness of what you can achieve with your preamp.

    Exactly!

  6. My bands recently discussed doing a few London gigs next year. We're based in Leeds and fancied a Thursday night gig, Friday night, Saturday afternoon & night then a Sunday afternoon gig.

Any recommendations on pubs that get a good crows? We do mostly rock and pop (Elvis Costello, Pulp, Motown, Jam, and the obvious cheesy stuff - nothing heavy tho.

I know there'll be hundreds, but we'd ideally like the venues to be near each other for ease of cummute

  7. I think there's a compromise with flats. I prefer the solo sound of a bass with rounds, but the punch you get from flats when in a band situation and playing live is where the benefits are. To me, there has been a massive change in the pinch from a recent change to flats after almost 20 years using rounds.
Plus, I tend to dig in quite hard and the smoothness of the flats means that even after all these years I no longer get sore finger tips after playing for long periods.

Nonsense. All you need is a mic / recorder that can handle the SPL and a tripod.

Exactly. Why on earth does someone need hiring for this purpose? We use a Canon 5D which does both audio and visual really well.

It doesn't take a student or a pro to get something useful - just common sense.

  9. Just picked up my new cab. Wow. I'd been playing through a DIY (and may I say great sounding, but not *that* loud) cab I built while on paternity leave in May, but the Vanderkley MNT112 is a phenomenal beast. Made my MIA jazz sound clear and punchy through my TH500.

I changed to LaBella's last night, after 19 years of roundwounds. The sound was (obviously) very different to what I'm used to playing so tried a round wound jazz they had in stock for comparison and wasn't disappointed: very responsive and clear.

Next thing on my list? Yeah, possibly another 112 at the right price.
