1. Measure the width of the fretboard, call this c
Measure the height of the fretboard (could be tricky without verniers), call this s (sagitta)

The radius can then be found using this formula:

r = (4s[sup]2[/sup] + c[sup]2[/sup])/(8s)

Haven't tried it myself, it's all derived from Pythagoras. Might try it tomorrow on a known radius.

Can't claim credit for the maths. I just enjoyed a pleasant mathematical half hour researching it.

I recognise this the other way round: coming from circles in Holland where oblique literary references are the order of the day, I suddenly lost an audience when moving to Norway.
Initially I thought this was a cultural thing, but happily I found out later it was more innocent and just that Norwegians are stupid... :D
(Seriously though: it IS a cultural thing. People with more education than I have could react strongly toetroddenly. :) )

I look forward to finding out what toetroddenly means  .

How about either of these?

4. Hi all,

I've just bought a new (to me) bass from the forum so need to sell this.

Everything you need to know spec wise, is on the link below:
http://www.gibson.co...ndard-Bass.aspx

I've only used the bass at home and it still has the plastic film on the pick guard. The only thing I have changed is to fit flatwound Rotosound strings.

There are some nail marks around the "improved contact jack", made before I got the hang of pulling the cable out!
The case and everything that came with it will be included. If you would like further photos, no problem.

I would prefer that you tried before buying, with cash on collection.

Trades
I need a combo amp so something like a TC BG250, anything that'll be fine for gigs. What've you got?

Thanks for looking
