1. ESP ltd F415FM 5-string Bass
35" scale 24fret
5 piece hard rock maple/walnut neck thru
Solid mahogany body flame maple top
Rosewood fretboard.
See thru black finish, Grover tuning keys
2 active EMG 40DC humbuckers with active
EMG B64 3-band EQ. Schaller strap locks and brand new stainless steel round wound Bass strings, this Bass sounds and feels just like a Spector NS 5XL USA Bass I played. I'll never get rid of my ESP F415FM Bass.

Clanky sound is achievable with amp alone.
yes I know this, my mistake I should of added the fact that I want to use it for headphone use too, without the amp. A lot of times i practice too late for amp in cab use, so I run my Bass through my rack effects then into Tascam for headphone use and without the amp I just can't quite get that perfect clank sound so adding the RPM should do it, right?

you probably can, I can get the sound similar to fingers with a pick and a bit of EQ
yeah that's cool, I have noticed after all these years of being a Bassist that when I get a Bass sound I'm trying to simulate, I move my plucking fingers up and down the string in the pickups area till it sounds just like it. You can get the sound of a lot of Bassist by plucking in the same area they do.

4. My custom Ibanez SR600 4-string with 2- Music Man double humbuckers and the Carvin Icon 505s 18v active/passive 3-band EQ with mid freq sweep knob. And my new ESP LTD F415FM 5-string Bass that's see-thru black, has a 5 piece maple/walnut neck-thru solid mahogany body with flame maple top and rosewood fretboard. And it's got Grover tuners 35" scale with 2- active EMG 40DC humbuckers with an active 18v EMG B-64 3-band EQ. $1,300 Bass and sounds exactly like a $4,000 Spector NS 5XL USA Bass, no joke I jammed both of them side by side at a music store and couldn't tell the difference. Thanks ESP for making an affordable Spector sounding clone. Saved me a couple grand.

5. I never use a pick and I can get that same exact sound with the tips of my fingers, like Duff's sound in Gun's n Roses and Dirnt's pick sound from Green Day. I just make my Bass a little clearer and set the EQ harsher sounding with more attack, works perfect. Oh, and I always use brand new stainless steel round wound Bass strings.

6. The Boss GT-6B Bass Effects Processor has some awesome fretless Bass effects. I've had my GT-6B since 04' still use it all the time, even with stainless steel round wound Bass strings on my Bass you can totally get that exact Paul Simon famous song he plays in the video with Chevy Chase, the one with that smooth sliding up and down the neck fretless Bass sound. You can get a GT-6B on eBay for around $100 nowadays.

7. I always wanted the Line 6 Bass Pod XT Pro Rack, there awesome, Bassist of Overkill uses one and so does the Bassist of Godsmack and the Bass guitar sounds incredible in those bands. Line 6 dropped all the Bass gear, now you have to buy a Line 6 lead guitar processor with not that much Bass effects on it, screw that, for that much money you can get an all Bass Processor from some other company, or a badass Bass preamp.
