^ Unusual... Don't often see a scarf joint on a straight F-esq neck... usually only on layed-backed angled headstock.
There's no scarf joint...it's made the same way as F....r necks. The repair was a straight glue up with no splines.

Ouch!!
A good luthier will be able to make good on that broken neck.
It was bought as a repair project but I chickened out and took it to a luthier to sort it out properly. The lower picture is the repaired bass.

I recently bought a Fender USA Jazz bass from David. It was accurately described both in photographs and text and additional information was provided on request. I had the opportunity to test drive the bass as I picked it up in person. The comms during the sale were great and David was a pleasure to deal with. No hesitation in recommending.

Not quite the same issue but I bought a bare Precision AVRI neck off a certain auction site, the ferrules/bushes of the Gotoh GBR640 vintage resolites I was going to use were a rattling good fit. The holes had been adjusted by a former owner using a taper reamer and were now too big. I used a piece of PVC pipe into which the bushes happened to be a tight fit and cut four rings to suit the depth of the bushes. I counterbored the holes in the headstock to be a tight fit for the rings, pressed them in a and voila.
