Hi guys.
I've looked into hooking my bass into a guitar amp with an octaver. Should be fine, I won't blow up the amp.
Now I've read somewhere that it's worth a try to plug octavers (as well as reverbs, termolos, choruses and so on) in the effects loop in order to have a better sound.
I want to try that, but I'm not sure if my amp is gonna be happy with it, considering that it's the pure signal of a bass that's gonna go directly in the preamp section.
Any thoughts on this one ? -
Hi guys !
I have been playing bass for a little less than 10 years now. I've played in differents bands with differents genres : rock'n'roll, reggae-rock, afro, irish, funk, punk etc. I'm currently playing in two bands, one is an acoustic punk rock covers band, and the other one is a stoner/garage duo (bass and drums).
I own a G&L L-2000 (tribute) and a Squier Jaguar VM, that I plug into a Trace Elliot Series 6 GP12X head hooked to a classic Ampeg 4*10. Been starting to get my hands on effects pedals for my stoner band also.
I've been a long time lurker here, figured I'd try posting as well !!

Thanks Andy.
Yeah makes sense. I'll try both and see. If it just doesn't sound good and don't destroy the amp it's alright I guess
