8.5lbs?? How can so little weigh so much??

Hi - When I first saw these basses I thought they would weigh around 5 pounds because of the design but they do not. My six string headed bass is 9.5 pounds. However, they are designed ergonomically and sit and balance very well.

    Thanks!

  2. Up for sale is a beautiful Paul Lairat Stega Bass. The only reason why I am selling this one is that I have another Stega that I really love too.

    Specs:

    Scale - 32"

String Spacing at the Bridge - 16.5 mm

    Fingerboard - Maple

Neck - Wenge, Walnut, Mahogany & Maple

    Body - Mahogany

    Top - Maple

Splints - Mahogany, Maple & Walnut

    Pickups - Delano Xtender

    Preamp - Delano Sonar 2

    Weight: 8.5 pounds

I have upgraded the gig bag to a Mono Vertigo Semi Hollow. Why the Semi Hollow body case you ask? Because this bass is medium scale and headless it makes for a great travel bass, too. Thus, I case it in smaller gig bag that makes it easier to fit on planes, etc.

The main cosmetic issue are the scratch marks on the lower splint (where the bass would rest against one's knees if playing bass in in seated position. I am selling this from Chicago so the buyer would incur the cost of the shipping plus any tax that might occur (import).
