    For sale I have my beloved Ampeg rig & due to the split of my band, I no longer have use for this amazing piece of equipment. The rig itself has been used for practice around 8-9 times and only gigged twice. The whole rig due to being flightcased literally is in 9/10 condition and could be passed as brand new easily.

    PLEASE NOTE: The SVT-2 head is being sold in a 6 unit flightcase (bought for £450 new) not the 4 unit seen in the picture as the flightcase also includes a rack tuner and rack wireless system, together worth over £1,000 which are being added in for free. The cab flightcase is NOT included in this sale. All the information and links to everything in the sale are found below.

    I'm selling an immaculate as new Ampeg SVT-2 Pro bass head.

    It's been flightcased all it's life hence no scratches or marks on it anywhere, it really could pass as brand new.

    Only been used a handful of times but due to band split I no longer need it.

    I bought it for £1,500 in October, would be willing to sell it on its own for [b]£1,200[/b].

    I would sell the SVT-2, in a 6 unit heavy duty tour flightcase (£300 new) with Sennheiser rack mount wireless system (£900 new) and Korg DTR-2000 rack tuner (£200 new) for £1,500.

    String gauges for detuning to C#?

    My band uses tunings drop C# and B, and I use Ernie Ball Super Slinky 5's on my bass. I have a Musicman Sterling which is a 4 string, but i just throw the .40 string away as i don't need it. The top string is .125 which i feel is ideal, as it gives good lows, punch, but highs too - you could consider this option if you are recording for a band playing metal/heavy sort of stuff
