Bump. Now only £600 (or trade).

Yes, it's still for sale

Still here. Looking for a fretless, Jazz Bass or P Bass if you want to trade, but let me know what you have to offer!
-
-
Do you have pics of said bass? I'd definitely be interested in a Fender Jazz.
-
This is back up for sale or trade again! I'd prefer trade, so PM any offers!
-
Ah that's fair enough. Thanks anyway!
-
Yeah, I know what you mean. I have pretty large hands, so I have the same problem. Although, strangely enough, I tried out a Bongo and found that slap bass was incredibly easy.
-
I could also throw in some cash, a fuzz pedal and a synth pedal?
-
Don't suppose you'd be willing to trade for an Ibanez BTB7 and an Ashdown 180W combo amp?
-
I've added specs to the description, still looking for £640 or an approximate trade equivalent.
-
Looks about as good as my woodwork project I made at secondary school. Stagg never fail to amuse me.
-
I guess that's what I'm actually looking for; a bass that you can easily shift on, and one that's ideal for slap-bass as well. Any stand-outs? I know Ibanez necks are quite smooth to play on, but I'm not sure, otherwise.

Is there anything you don't like about your current BTB? I've heard some pretty brutal tones coming from one of those when paired up with a Darkglass B3K / B7K.

I bloody love the tone of the bass, but I just find the spacing between the strings is a bit too little. I'm trying to include slapping and popping into my style, and it's not really letting me. I've tried it on the BTB 5-string, but i have the same problem. -
I absolutely love the Bongo bass. We have one on display at college, and we were allowed to take it off the display stand and give it a try. It's a beautiful instrument, but about a grand out of my budget. I need to find somewhere that stocks Yamaha basses so I can try some out.

I'm really liking the look/sound of the Yamaha TRBX505. The body looks pretty beautiful, and the 3 EQ dials are what I find essential, as I'm very specific with my sound, so I'm thinking either that or another Yamaha of some description. Does anyone have any experience with the TRBX505?

I'm located in Woking. I can try and post it if you want. We can negotiate a price if you wish to buy it.
-
Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I'll make sure to give these basses a try.

Hi, all.
I'm looking into getting a replacement bass for my Ibanez BTB7 bass, and wanted to know if there are any standout basses that an aspiring progressive/metal bassist should look out for? I've already taken the Fender Jazz Bass into consideration, but I wanted to know if there were any others that anyone would recommend buying? My budget will be roughly around the £650 mark.
If anyone can help, that'd be great.
Thanks. -
Ibanez BTB7 7-String bass. Barely over a month old. There are several scratches here and there, simply from use, and part of the nut has come off due to the instalment of a low F# string, but it plays like new. It has an excellent tone and I'm selling it for less than 75% of its RRP.
