Sorry just sold this weekend
-
First proper use and it was great. Gig was at a festival so bigger stage and proper sound set up. If I’m honest with all the noise, using the provided amp, not the best monitoring, and me wearing earplugs it was a bit hard to tell how everything sounded but it was solid, sounded fine, and I enjoyed the freedom to not trip over cables.

Shure arrived today so had a brief play.
looks and feels sturdy. Receiver pedal dead easy to add to my pedalboard. The sync with the transmitter pack was instand and really simple.
playing at home it sounds great. No latency, sounds the same as a cable.
I have a gig on sat so will try it out in anger then

Is this still available? I've got a mate that was interested in one of these.
Yep still available. A bit of interest but nothing definite yet

Thanks guys! I didn’t need any more kit but my guitarist mentioned he was thinking of getting one of these, I liked the idea and I’ve just ordered the shure one! Your fault!

Is this still available?
Many thanks,

Hi, yes it is

Sorry just been sold today

Soot. “Oomph” wasn’t specific but I mean that feel through the floor, the size of the sound. I don’t struggle for volume or mids or cutting through, but I can sometimes feel like I’m loud enough but I don’t feel the bass, just hear it
very good points about location in the room though

That’s a handy bag where did you get it ?
No idea I’m afraid, I bought the cab off someone on here and it was given in that bag. It’s perfect.
buy the bag, get the cab as a bonus?

REDUCED TO £700
Selling my gunmetal grey, non export, Japanese fender Aerodyne.
this is a great bass, I love it and gigged it regularly. It’s just that I now play short scale and in all honesty can’t see me using this again and it’s sitting in a case under my bed.
it’s in great condition, just a couple of small marks. I’ll chuck in the hard case too
buyer to collect (Nottingham area) or we can meet up. Not keen on posting this.

The C4 cabs are 8 ohms each so you can't another without damaging the amp which has a four ohm minimal load. Adding another cabinet would damage the amp.
If you can hear yourself on stage and you are going through the PA I would probably make do, otherwise you will need to look at a new cabinet that gives you the kind of onstage monitoring that you ideally want. If volume is not an issue is it perhaps more of an EQ issue? As said by Mykesbass above though, the bass may sound different depending on where you are standing.
Thanks. Yep understand the ohms point which I hadn’t considered.
I don’t usually go through the pa so I’m reliant on my gear to provide enough bass in total. Pa only does vocals unless it’s a bigger venue when we hire in pa and sound guy help.

Have you heard your rig from the same distance that you have heard other bands' rigs? It could well sound very different when you are not next to it.
Tbf that’s a good point. I go out front for the siundcheck but only for the length of a cable. Might have to get a guitarist to slum it for a bit on bass and have a listen.

Hi,
I currently play through an orange terror 500 into a couple of Phil Jones c4’s and recently I’ve found I might need a bit more, fullness? I think volume wise it’s fine, but I miss a bit of the big sound I hear from other bands (usually when they go through the pa, or have a bigger cab I think).
would it be ok to look at adding another c4 or 2? Portability is important, hence not using a big 4x10. Any other ideas?

Now 350 but because I’m a spanner I can’t work out how to change the price in the title!

Really good looking Fender Jazz. I’ve decided to move it on as I’ve discovered short scale and have too many basses I’m now not likely to use.
great condition, no damage or marks.
prefer collection (I’m in Bingham, near Nottingham) but happy to travel a bit.
also selling a white jazz, check out my other post

Cheers guys, some helpful opinions and pointers.
im not after adding harmonies via a pedal, I think that has train wreck written all over it, but the tips to fatten things up, fill out the sound, are good. Also get the compression/feedback point too. Hadn’t considered that.
we don’t use IEMs but I always wore earplugs and found they created a bit of “natural monitoring” in that I could hear myself sing.
I think what I’m hearing is that less is more, get the eq right, and (try to) sing in tune...

Hi,
so, my band has had a re-jig and I’m going to be doing BVs. I’ve done this in previous bands so I’m just about competent, but I was wondering if there’s benefit in any “effects” on my vocals.
The Pa when we gig has some basics like reverb but I was wondering about compression? Worth getting a pedal so I can set it up to suit? Any other advice?
cheers
