Thanks for all the comments . The hardest part sometimes is the motivation as I don't know too many people who play instruments so it's not like I am practising with a band or anything .
I will try make a video sometime soon although it might suck. Can anyone recommend another fairly simple rock bass song to play along too ?

I am trying to learn to play Ac-dc live wire, i am a new comer and still a lot tha i need to learn, etc etc.
but in between online lessons i am trying ac-dc live wire, its not going to bad just need to practise and also when the song changes direction i have to learn to get the timing correct to switch to different rhythm etc etc..

Hello all
I started playing about a year and half ago on and off, motivtion has been my hardest problem as i have other interests,
but anyway, i have found a tutor who will give me some lessons,
I have been playing with "love me tender" and i am sort of getting it now , but also been messing with AC-DC live wire, and i noticed that on youtube the bass covers that people are playing, there are so many different variations of it ? Is this a problem in which variation you play this song ?

Hello all
I am very new to bass, i have a couple mates who are musicians, and they said to start learning 12 bar blues and do finger excercises !
Now i have copied a 12 blues bass lesson on youtube in the key of G ! I also bought a bass for beginners book at a music shop and the the 12 bar blues in the book is slightly diffirent to the one on Youtube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcGVwwQFCzo that is the link for the lesson on Youtube ?
and this is the link for the book
http://www.amazon.com/Progressive-Beginner-Bass-Gary-Turner/dp/1864691646
Basically i am just confused to what 12 bar blues is, are there various(combination) ways to play the notes
this is what confuses me in the book it starts with the E string and fret 3 pick that string twice then A string fret 2 pick string twice then
open D string play twice then fret 2 of D string play once then lastly open D string once and that is all one bar ?
Diffirent to the video ?
Any advise ??
