1. Hello and good afternoon.

So i have a Tanglewood TAB 1 CE Acoustic Bass and i am on the search for an hard case for it! However i want to make sure it fits as i have heard that some cases are not large enough inside to take some guitars. I can't find any clear information online.

I want to make sure i get it right!

So my question is, does anyone have any idea on the size of the Stagg GCA AC hard case? Or can anyone recommend a case that will fit my guitar...

    Thanks!

  2. Hey there, just wondering if anyone knew what typical measurements are for string height

Basically, I've just changed to some lighter gauge strings on my bass and had to adjust the truss rod a tad due to a change in relief and fret buzz. i've got that TR adjustment done correct but i've now found my strings are a bit too high. I prefer pretty low action, but not too low as i also liked play aggressively at times and want to avoid that dreaded fret buzz.

I've just bought a string measurement ruler and a set of feelers, a list of typical/recommended string heights would be great. I could then see what i've got to work with.

  3. Right ok. I might just take it in to be looked at. Out of interest, after having a look myself and not seeing any loose connections and then putting it back together it's no longer popping, could this change once I put the strings on? Main reason I ask is I don't wanna waste a new set of strings...

  4. I was having problems with my pickup switch on my guitar so I decided to open it up and have a look to see if any connections needed repairing/soldering. After having a good close look I couldn't see any problems so I put it back together. Any ideas as to what else I could do? I don't want to put the new strings on if the problem still occurs with it cutting out, so I left it unstrung for now.

It's a Squier Stratocaster Affinity Series

    Thanks!

  5. Ok so i've adjusted the truss rod and turned it anti-clockwise by about x3 quarter turns, and it did make an improvement. However i don't know if it's me but it seems like the action is now higher, the feel of going up and down the fretboard is different... I've tightened it a tad to see if it helps. Just so you know i did leave significant time between adjustments, it wasn't all done at once.

I'm starting to think i should have stuck with the regular slinkys, the fret buzz may be partially down to my playing style (mainly punk stuff)...

    Hmmm <_<
