1.
I might also add that a member is selling a 4 string jazz deluxe in montego black etc. That is £550 and no one has snapped it up, The only difference between the two basses is that his is a 4 string and fretless.

    Rob.
Not much difference there then between a 4 string fretless and a 5 string fretted !?!? ;)

Why don`t you people stop crapping all over Prams thread and support him over what is a great bass at a good price ??

Good luck with the sale mate.

    Vern

  2. Met Russ at M5 services today, he drove all the way from Manchester to trade his immaculate, mint Stingray for my Gretsch bass that I couldn`t get on with.

I`m a happy with the trade,

What a smashing guy, highly recommended to deal with.

    Cheers mate,

    Vern. ;)

    Vern.

ps: anyone dealing with Pete = He`s a top man ;)

  4. Hi everyone,

I have a GRETSCH ` Thunderjet` bass for SALE @ £850 or TRADE for a Fender,Stingray or whatever of similar value.

It is only 6 months old and traded with Ali (thebeat) who paid £1300 for it (I have the receipt)

So I think that £850 to be a fair price, considering the condition (no dings scatches etc. allthough a trade would be acceptable.

    Here are pics.

    Thanks.

    Vern.

Almost forgot, Comes with genuine Gretsch hardcase.

  6.
I've had an EMG LJ Jazz pickup sitting around waiting to be fitted to my Precision. I discovered on Saturday that my 1 year old whippet, Alfie, had attacked the box and chewed through half of the wires (although thankfully not the pickup itself). Having calmed down, I emailed EMG UK, explaining my dilema, and have just had this fantastic reply from their MD:

    Re Dog food

Your cry for help has been duly passed to MB Music
who handle our direct EMG spares sales.
We have that cable available in chicken and
    rabbit or beef flavours.....
Woof Woof.

Perhaps Alfie wasn`t feeling to well and looked at it as a pick-me-up :)

    Great reply though

    Vern.

Hey mate, sorry for not replying sooner, anyhoo I`m down in the West Country (Warminster,Wiltshire ) you know, where the locals chew straw and eat lots of carrots and use OOOH AARR a lot.

Seriously though, this lovely bass is still for sale if anyone is interested.

  10. SOLD !!!!!

Yamaha TRB 1005 Transluscent Dark Red - £350 for quick sale

I need to raise some cash in a hurry so I'm selling my immaculate TRB1005 which comes in a beautiful red over quilted maple finish. The official colour is "Transluscent Dark Red" but it's essentially kind of a scarlet colour, very vibrant and eye catching.

I picked this up some 18 months or so ago from P.T.P (Pete WardP thinking I'd like to get into 5 string but I've never really got around to using it in anger and only really played it a few times at home. As such it is in as new condition.

Although this is one of the more modern TRB series, made in Korea rather than Japan, don't let that fool you into thinking there's been a quality compromise. The build quality is exceptional - think Lakland Skyline workmanship and the quilted maple cap is very easy on the eye.

Tonally you've got plenty of scope with the two pick-ups and three band EQ and the 35" scale means the B string sounds as great as all the other strings.

New, one of these will cost about £500 over the net.

As I said, I'm looking for a quick sale so asking just £350 for this virtually unused example. PM me or give me a call on 01985 229005

    Thanks,

    Vern

  11. Hi all,

I haven`t been around for a while and I used to be known as `VERN` but somehow my previous membership was lost somehow ??? Hope everyone is well.

Anyhoo, I have a E.H. BASS MYCRO SYNTH for sale that has never been used (bought on a whim) , therefore it is `as new`, unmarked and boxed.

I`m looking for £130 (paid £190 for it new ) which I think is reasonable for condition .

    Cheers,

    Vern (Icepick)
