Fancied one of these but the Thomann web site picture shows the p/up closer to the middle, is it a false image or have they changed the layout?

They were Charvel's budget range around the early 1990s. Similar to the Squier situation. They were viewed as beginner guitars.

Define "Beginners" bass.
If someone starting out has the finance to buy an Alembic,/Stingray/Sadowsky etc' does that make it a "Beginners" bass???? -

Personally I think each of the amps are targeting the same market, ie similar in price and power. But I can see how you would think the amps are for beginners and I would probably say you are right!

So working on that theory, everything made outside of it's original country at a lower cost is for "beginners"?
Does it not seem obvious manufacturers produce these items in other countries to lower production costs and therefore entice new custom?
A "Beginner" would first purchase a small 10/15 watt practice amp Define "BEGINNER"! Is it the low wattage that defines it as a "beginners" amp?.
Any manufacturer would not risk their reputation by selling an "Inferior" product. -
I had a set of of the 5 string flatwound delivered on Monday the 11th Jan', put hem on,,,,,,,,,,B string dead and un tuneable, E string dead. Called Strings direct, was promised replacements, still waitin ,
Used almost every set of strings available over 45 years of playing, and i have to say these are the worst i have ever tried, may have well used wool!!.
Do yourself a favour, stay away from Picato, Fender flat wounds are cheaper and better, pity they don't do 5 string sets.
