1. I have a S.U.B. STERLING RAY 4 by Musicman and one of the knobs (the treble) the knob has become loose and does not turn aswell. The control is very loose but working. Nothing out of ordinary happened, just noticed it the other day. Can I fix it? If so, how? Can a shop or guitar shop?

2. Yeah I meant the finishes such as the satin colours like blue, red, walnut on the S.U.Bs .
On ray34 vintage cream, mint green with rosewood.
On ray35 with the cool circular plate instead of the usual 5 string plate (which I don't like).
And the bridges seem bigger on the ray4 and ray 34 series than on SOME stingrays.
There are all nice. I don't think many stingrays have those colours.

3. I have a bass that was once all over matte black. After playing it for years some of the matte finish has come off.
What is the best way to repaint all of it? Just the parts that have faded? Where would I buy the paint and how do you do it? Any tips or advice?

Cheers, Harry.

4. I have a S.U.B version, although it is not perfect and needed some adjustments. It is a cheaper version of the CA. The tone, playability, build quality and look is unbeatable at the price range. Looking online 3/4 of people absolutely love them, the other 1/4 got put off by some small (and fixable) problems.

5. Hey guys, yeah the short story I tried it and it worked! Thank you.

Long story, I moved the E side on the pickup down towards the body and the bass loss its accidental feature of being slightly distorted on maximum volume. Which I kinda liked, so using my logic I raised the E to its original setting and G side even higher. And now the bass has an even volume across the strings and slight distortion all across the strings giving it a sort of Tim Commerford like sound without a pedal. Which if I turn volume down to 8 its completely undistorted. Sweet!

6. Hello Bass people,
I have a brand new S.U.B Sterling Bass which is amazing in every way except one way.
All the notes on the E string are far louder than the other 3. Which is very irritating. I have messed around with eq on my bass, amp and pedal and still the problem is there. I obviously want to fix it but how? Does anyone else have this problem(with this bass or any other)? If so, how did you overcome it? Any suggestions? Any ideas?
The bass is S.U.B Sterling walnut satin with rosewood fingerboard and Ernie Ball strings which came with the bass.

Cheers, Harry.
