1. hi,

i'm looking into a mesa amp but i wonder what the difference is between a 400 and a 400+ soundwise? I've found one each in my region and the price is het same. Is the 400 better than the 400+ of is it the other way around? Which do you prefer. Of course i will test both but still, i'd like to know some background on this.

Kind regards and thx for the hand,

    stitch

  2.
How low can you make the action?
hi,

i personally have never set up a guitar or a bass so i don't quite know. I always let a guitartech to that.
I guess the action can be low if you want it to. I've had 2 other vigiers (a 4 and a 6 string) and to me this one plays and sounds just like the other vigiers i had.

    kind regards,

    s.

  3. hi guys,

unfortunatly I have to stop playing bass due to lack of time for a third band (i play guitar and drum in two other bands). Therefor i'm letting all my babies go...

This one's a Vigier Passion with serial number 191 so it's a bass from 1996. It's in good condition for a 14 year old :) I only has 2 small 'chips' in the paintjob. Otherwise the bass is in very good condition.

The bass comes with a custom Vigier flightcase.

I'l located in Aalst, Belgium and prefer pick-up but i'm willing to ship it if paid in full in advance.

    SOLD

  6. Hey,

i'm selling (or trading) my Vigier Passion 6 string bass with Bartollini PU and EQ. The bass is in good condition except for one spot on the top bass strapthingy that hasn't been fixed all too well but nobody sees this when you use a strap. Serialnumber 10, its a bass made in the first year that Vigier started to make 6 strings but it still sounds great. Flamed maple top, whick looks great but i can't seem to take a decent picture of this...

Reason for selling: I can't get used to the 6 strings and would like to go back to 5. I'm willing to trade the bass for a 5 string vigier/warwick thumb or i'm selling it for 1100 euro (i lowered my price to 1100 but that's it, i'm not going under this price...).

More pictures on demand... i don't check this board often so please email me at "7SinZ [at] telenet [dot] be"

I live in Aalst, Belgium but i'm sure we can work something out if there's genuine interest in the bass.

  7. Hi Fritz, yeah i know you have one. I know quite well as you were the one that got me to check out vigier. In those day you visited the offstage forum quite often too and you played with Tim's Favourite (actually, you rehearsed 60 m from my home :) ).

Ped: thx. It's too bad it's not a 5 string... I'd kill to switch it with a vigier 5 string... So for now: bumb  and like i said: i know it's a fair price but i'm willing to talk about the price, no sweat...
Show us some PICS fritz or I don't believe you ;0)

Nice bass Stitch and a fair price. I would like this one but I am just so happy with my current two I don't think another bass is on the horizon for a long time/ever.

    Good luck with the sale

  8. Hey guys,

as you might know, i'm trying to sell my 6 string Vigier bass and i've got someone who asked me if i would be willing to trade my vigier for his 4 string Sei Bass Original. I'm from Belgium and I haven't heard of Sei Bass before so i'm looking for some more info and i'm not talking about the Sei Bass site. Any tips of hints are welcome but most importantly: is this an interesting deal or not? (i know, you have to try the bass and listen to make up your mind but if you guys tell me to leave this deal be, then i don't have to waiste this guy's and my time getting together and trying the basses...)

    thx guys!

    Kind regards,

    Kim

  9. yeah, it really are great basses. I fell instantly in love when I bought my Vigier Passion Custom 4 String a few years ago. But I'm afraid Vigier is totally unknown in Belgium and only limited in Holland. Weird I know but they're missing out :)

  10. wel, I keep the price rather low because of the "damage" on the strap horn and the fact that the EQ has been changed.

I'm the second owner and i'm afraid the first one f***ed it up if you ask me. He told me he didn't like the Vigier EQ (dumbass...) and so he had it changed to a bartolini EQ. I must say that it does sound very nice (otherwise i would'n have bought it right :) ) but still, i would have preferred the original vigier EQ.

At this moment the knobs are volume, pan between the 2 PU's, bass and treble. I talked to my tech and he told me that it's no problem in adding another knob for the mids (the hole is already there behind the 'white spot' on the pics) so i might do that within a few months.
