1. I've not had bad experiences with them, overall - once I tried to buy strings and it wouldn't work on the website so gave them a call, they were friendly and helpful then. Another time I bought 4 Ultralites and they only had 3 in stock, after some back & forth I ended up changing it to 3 & an Xtender with a very slight discount.

Minor annoyances, but nothing major. The website is awful, stock levels not being updated isn't ideal in this day and age, and I don't like the momentary wait to see if they even have what I ordered - but like a lot of others have said, they're one of the only places that offer a lot of brands, so are ultimately worth supporting.

Wonderful basses - played USA Fenders that don't feel or sound as good as the Squier CVs. They really got it right with these basses. I think they have even discontinued some of the models as they were impacting on MIM and USA Fender sales! Best of luck with the sale anyway - whoever buys this is getting a great bass :)

They certainly are great instruments, maybe even the best available at their price point!

    Still available.

  3. Fuzzrocious Broke Dick Peanut Gallery (BDPG) dirty pre-amp, kid painted and bought directly from Fuzzrocious, £90 posted.

This pedal is now discontinued, so the used market is your only option if you want to try one. Nearly as-new condition, all works perfectly, velcro on underside.

I need to get some cash together quickly, and as this isn't currently on my board, it's on the chopping block. This will make any distortion/overdrive/fuzz in front of it sound HUGE, at least in my experience - if you're experiencing some low end loss, stick this behind it, and you'll be sorted. I've used it to drive a poweramp at practice volumes and it handled it with room to spare.

Any questions, please ask or PM me. I may consider a trade for either a Rusty Box, or some sort of brilliant distortion/drive (no fuzz, unless it's a particularly good muff variant, like a Grey Stache) - a COG TK-421-X in particular would be tempting.

    Marketing info:

"Our complaint with most preamps is that they are generally glorified EQs and not many have any "dirt" on tap. With that in mind, the BDPG is not your ordinary preamp...With a pregain/drive section (left knob), the user can go from a touch of drive to a full-bore doomy grind. The volume knob (middle) regulates your volume, duh. The tone knob (right) dials in your tone with a tone stack picked by me for the "best" sound. The tone section is capable of pulling dubby/reggae/no treble tones fully clockwise, nasty metal/grind tone fully counter-clockwise, and everything else in between making for one VERSATILE preamp. It even sounds great with a dirt/boost in front of it! Please note that this pedal doesn't "do clean." Also the pregain knob must be kept above noon to stay at/above unity gain."

  4. Squier Classic Vibe Jazz Bass 60s - £230 including postage

I think everyone knows about these by now - incredibly good value for money, very nice playing and sounding instruments. Nearly mint, used minimally at home and practice since purchasing new in December of last year. Didn't need a Jazz then, but played it in the shop and couldn't pass it up. Unfortunately, I still don't need a Jazz, but I do need some extra money, so here we are.

Any questions please ask, or PM me. Photos available on request. Just looked it over and can't see any dings, knocks, bumps, scratches etc. I seem to be naturally gravitating towards single pickup basses, if I enjoyed dual pup instruments more, I'd be keeping it.

    Feedback link in signature.

I would have it like a shot but the weight is killer :(
I can understand if you're looking for a very lightweight instrument, but this is certainly by no means a heavy bass, and not one I'd consider being outside of 'standard Fender weight'. Very well balanced & comfortable bass imo!

Had some interest but still available, would like to sell relatively quickly as need the cash.

  6. Considering one of these, but struggling to find any demos, so thought I'd take advantage of the knowledge here!

I've used a Rat Tail and a Blower Box over the last few years, and loved them both, but I'm looking for a bit of a different flavour on the same sound. With the clean blend, and two LPFs, I'm assuming I could get a more 'muscular' tone, while retaining that trademark upper mid snarl - which is definitely intriguing me.

Any feedback on this pedal? Any thoughts on the various features with it (clean blend, LPFs, internal range shift, clipping options)?

    Thanks in advance

  7. Fender American Standard Precision 2008 - £650

3 Tone Sunburst, lightweight tuners, high mass bridge.

This bass has had a pickup swap - I never much liked the original pickup, so replaced it with a Seymour Duncan SPB-2 Hot. I will include the original pickup.

The bass is in very good condition, plays excellent and is very comfortable. There's a headstock ding, a small black mark in the first fret position, and a few marks on the underside of the bass - all were there when I bought it, and all are pictured.

These are fantastic basses, with 2008 widely considered to be the year the MIA quality stepped up another level, and the bass has been professionally set up a couple of times since I've had it.

I'd rather not sell, unfortunately I'm in a position where I need to get some money together quickly, and as such a cash sale is preferred. I will consider part exchange for selected items (many Fuzzrocious models, Tronographic Rusty Box, a smaller Pedaltrain such as a Nano or Mini, Hipshot HB7/Ultralite 1/2", potentially an onboard pre-amp).

I'm in Penzance, Cornwall, you are more than welcome to come by and try it if you're close. I'm also happy to post, insured & tracked, with a gig bag for £25. Any questions, please PM me.

    Craig

  8. Fender Pawn Shop Mustang - £375 posted, Penzance
Mint condition, only had it a couple of months, never gigged. Selling as I'm primarily a bassist and can't justify having the guitar around at the moment.
Made In Mexico, two Enforcer humbuckers, with coil selector on each (front coil, full humbucker, back coil) giving a wide range of tonal options. 24" scale, very fast neck, very lightweight and comfortable, Candy Apple Red with a mint green pickguard. Great looking and playing guitar, includes a deluxe Fender gig bag, and I can securely post.

Attached link with more info & the lowest price I can see a new one selling for, which is £565, so a bargain at this price.

(guitar is advertised elsewhere also - I have no use for a guitar at the moment, and GAS is rearing it's head again for a new bass, so it's got to go!)
