1. Great....getting down to it now! TBH....I'm doing a bit of a clearout...and have several speakers that came from Organ cabinets....as in Hammond PR40s. This came from a home-made Organ concoction, and I was trying to discover if it had a potential use/value. Not playing bass currently, and can see from the spec .pdf that this isn't going to be suitable for guitar use....unfortunately
2. Hhhmmmm.....the more I've looked into this... the more I'm realising that I'm wrong! 3" dust cover seems to point towards a smaller coil diameter....and the 9.5 lbs weight is indicating that I may have the 15/100 variant, with a 2" voice coil.
3. Many thanks to you all for this info....exactly what I was after!! The dust cover is 3" diameter....so can I assume that the coil is also 3"? ....that would make it the 200w variant. The weight of this is around 9.5 LBS, so I'm thinking that the 16.5 LBS shown on the .pdf spec is a packaged shipping weight??
4. Hi....as it says....looking for info on this unit....which unfortunately has the label ripped off! Managed to find a similar pic on t'web....which I've also added.....hoping someone might fill me in with some more details. Unit has no markings....other than 3501 in white on the cone! Thanks for looking!! :)
5. Page one of the spec does describe it as "Two-way LED lamp"...... LA12 spec.pdf
6. Sounds like a plan...you're a Gentleman! Thanks again
7. Excellent...and thanks for the swift reply!! The original led part of the switch has what looks like (and measures as ) 1.2K in series with the led. Would that need to be changed to suit the new switch??
8. Thanks for the replies!! I've attached a pic...showing 12mm hole for the switch. Original switch has already had a rebuild....and has now past the point of no return when it comes to another Hoping to stick closely to the 12mm aperture with the replacement....and there are some switches that I've found! Would this do the job??....I'd be selecting the latching option https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324785111506?hash=item4b9eb381d2:g:XbgAAOSw2adhOyBx .There's a link to a .pdf showing the switch spec too....here >>>>>LA12 spec.pdf
9. It's been a long time!! Think it's time I dealt with this one....before dropping off the perch (as we all do eventually!) in an untimely manner. As it says....Looking for a power switch...green led push type ....for *extremely* vintage GP11 Pre.....???? Any thought please?? Kev/Leeds
10.
GP11 preamp circuit is included in this schematic : trace-elliot_GP11-AH350-AH500-MK-V-BASS.pdf
Steve.....that's the same collection already referred to in posts #2 and #3....but thanks anyway!
11.
Hiya, I also have a very early trace pre that is in need of attention. This one is the one with the two separate circuit boards, attached by ribbon cable, strangely, I also have a couple of the early RA500's, and one of them has a bad hum, so any chance of copies of the circuits ? Thanks Mike
Can't send anything without an email addy....you could download from the links in posts #2 and #3....!
12. Many thanks for the responses...and the info!! Suspect that the GP11 could well be a MK1......handwritten serial/model number....hand-built look if you know what I mean! Also have a similarly early RA500.....would be great to find a similarly 'early' circuit diagram for that... Thanks to ikay....now have a circuit from '86...... Thanks again Kev
13.
I have pdf of GP11 Mk2 if you need it.
....Please!!....I believe the kit I have to be VERY early!!!! Kev
14.
GP11 service manual with circuit diagrams can be downloaded as pdf here - http://elektrotanya....f/download.html
....Got it......the 'get the manual' link is the way to go (takes some finding!!)
