  1. Hi,
I was after a new small practice amp. My local music shop ( gig-gear harlow) had a good selection and I initially was after something 25-50 watt, however after much fiddling I ended up with a tc electonic BH 250.
Its really small with 2x 8 inch speakers, but chucks out over 200watts!. Yep, didn't really believe it until I tried it, its really loud, great tone with tons of bottom end ( and I usually use a barefaced 2x 12) No idea how they do it but its very, very good. It was £230 and I think worth every penny. The sales guys they love them as they sound great and are flying out the door
    Hope this helps

  2. Hi,
I have just bought a Squire classic vibe telecaster, and I would like to change the pick -up, but I don't know where to start. Do the chinese stock pick-ups sound like the American ones? The Seymour Duncan 1/4 pounder seems a popular replacement , any one tried one? Any other recommendations? I usually play a US precision into a orange bass terror. I play in a pub covers band and I'm ideally looking for something that can cut through a little better than the stock pick -up

    Thanks,

    Sean

  3. Hi,

I have a old Ashdown MAG 300w 1x 15 which I occasionally use with an extension cab while I like it and its never let me down I'm thinking of upgrading. Been put off an ABM 500 due to some comments regarding a lack of volume., Where the UK ones just louder?. I like the look of the bass terror but I'm after some advice,
I will be running it into an ABM 4x 10 ( 600w i think) and a MAG deep (250w) and I was which terror would be best? I know they have some valve issues, so I would swopping them for some 'quiter' ones enable me to go more for the 1000 without things going pop or would the 500 give me enough wunph to cut through?
I play the pub circuit, plus the occasional larger venue

    Any advice wecome

    cheers,

    Sean
