I'd like to try those. But their own website shows they are sold out and I can't find a UK dealer.
I’ve got one I never use. PM if you want it!

Are they very different from the Duff McKagan-era Jazz Bass Special (a name that always confused me given they’re not a jazz bass…)?
Either way it looks awesome!
Main difference to the Duff bass is that they have a satin neck rather than the black gloss.- 2

Thanks! They are a reissue of the Jazz Bass Special that Duff used and from what I’ve read they’re the same specs. Never played an original or a Duff so couldn’t say for sure though.

I think you will really enjoy that bass. I have been quite taken with mine and it punches above its price point.
Yep. Really good fun and just has the sound that I grew up with. Love the satin neck, also the way it sits on the strap. Not too heavy either.

Very cool looking bass. Active?
Passive, but with the tone control you can almost get active type clarity.

Just took receipt of this from Bass Bros. Growing up on late 80s / early 90s rock my first bass was a Squier HM bass, pointy headstock PJ pickups.
I’ve got other “quality” basses: American Standard J and P, a selection of Thunderbirds, Spector, Rickenbackers and as much as I love them, this just feels and sounds right!!
Great bass, love it.

I use the mk2 with x2 obc112s… sounds great, wasn’t quite so keen with just the one cab. If I was going for a single cab I’d be tempted by the 115.

So tempting… still loving the Forte Helium I got off you!

Great bass, love my 2015 T’Bird and I have 5 T’birds in total… bit of a bad habit for me! I think the 2015 has its own distinct sound and the versatility of the coil taps are great. Enjoy!!!

Epiphone Blackbird question...

Not sure if it’s the same as the later Gibson T’birds but the 3 point bridge are meant to “float” above the body. I think this was due to a change in the neck angle…
As I say, not sure if that’s the same on Epi’s. Think this was introduced on Gibson’s mid 2000’s. My 2001 Gibson Blackbird has the bridge flat to the body.
thought I would flag as you mentioned the bridge being way high.
