I just treated myself to a Phil Jones Headphone amp. Covers all the requirements that you listed.

They're a bit pricey but I've been thinking about getting one of these. Being PJB I would think the build quality is good.
Are you happy with it? Did you get it from Bass Direct? -
Agreed. If I was anywhere near Cheltenham I'd be all over this.

I made a purchase on basschat recently and the seller (miles'tone) suggested I start a feedback thread. Sounded like a good idea so here it is.

I bought a Yamaha bass from Simon which arrived exactly as described today. It was extremely well packaged and arrived safe and sound. Great communication and I was kept up to date from purchase to delivery.
Great guy to deal with. -

Can this be collected? Where are you based?

Have you tried a program called Transcribe? I was shown it by my bass teacher and never looked back.

+1 for Transcribe -
Drat!
Wish it had been a week later. I'm in that part of the world the following weekend.

Battered Wives should be in there. Tasteless name but Uganda Stomp is worth a listen.

Thanks for the heads up on this Paul.
Nabbed two tickets for Newcastle City Hall.
Not a huge fan myself but the missus is so it's earned me a few brownie points -
Pure class!

Yeah, I take my hat off to him
Lots of stuff on there I hadn't seen before but particularly enjoyed Santana -
There's another Guitar Heroes program on
BBC Four - Guitar Heroes on Later with Jools -
I lived in Sheffield during the 70's and 80's and the City Hall used to be a great venue for rock.
During that period we saw Lizzy, AC/DC, UFO, Scorpions, Judas Priest plus countless others.
Can't really remember how much the tickets cost but none of us were flush back then and I don't remember worrying too much about affording it.
In hindsight we took it all for granted but as they say.. youth is wasted on the young! -

Interesting thread. I didn't realise there were so many options!
I use these http://www.amazon.co...t?ie=UTF8&psc=1 plugged straight into the bass. I have to say the design of the product is terrible but the sound is pretty good.
For jamming I have the GB10 which goes to the aux input of the headphones.
Total cost around £190 -

Hi Len
I must admit it's the missus who's the big folk fan. I prefer rock myself but I'm a big lover of live music so always enjoy the festivals.
I enjoyed all the headliners e.g. Oysterband, Show of Hands, Eliza Carthy etc.
Of the performers that were new to me I particularly enjoyed Lucy Ward, The Goat Roper Band & Sunjay Brayne.
Overall we were both very impressed with the weekend
Cheers -
