A not too great picture of the new (left) and first (right). I'm not one for having loads and this new Ibanez is just awesome
-
Sounds good, though the vocals on the Pre-release release(?) sound a bit muddy in the mix?
Cerberus Cell is more riffy than me, and probably a bit more accessible -
I have searched for a Metal players thread but can't find one, though I may just be being dense.
Metal bass is often overlooked I feel, Extreme Metal even more so, though there are some ridiculous players out there under all the guitars.
Thought I'd make a place where the Metal bassists can post their stuff, unless one already exists on here in which case point me to it.
I myself have an Extreme Metal project: This Thing Of Darkness, the vocals may put some people off, but I have tried to put some interesting bass lines on the tracks.
Any other Metallers out there? -
Hey,
I have primarily been a drummer for the last 10 years, but have had basses and guitars around the whole time as well. I have recently started taking the bass more seriously and have made a few recordings (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hello-Stratosphere/268139616588674?id=268139616588674&sk=app_178091127385).
I am joining this forum partly for feedback for my music/playing, and partly to discover others music and style.
I am based in Berkshire, UK.
I play a 6-String Redwood Bass. I can't find any info on Redwood whatsoever, they only seem to exist on the Dawsons Music website? If anyone knows anything then I would be interested in finding out more about them -
Hey,
I am new to this forum so I am unsure if I am posting in the right place (I think I am).
I have a little music project that is me playing bass over/under programmed beats and synths. I am after some feedback for it, so I would be very grateful if anyone could give the tunes a listen and let me know what you think.
The songs are steering more towards a simple/chillout vibe, though I stray from that sometimes.
You can hear four tracks here:

My favourite of the four is White Rhino, It's the most fun to play.
Apologies if I am not supposed to link that way, and thanks if anyone listens!

I'm not exactly new, but I have been inactive for ages and wasn't particularly active before so...
I'm from Reading, England and have been playing 13 years if I remember correctly. I only have two basses; a Redwood 6-string and an Ibanez BTB686SC. Information on the Redwood is very difficult to find so if anyone has any I am all ears.
The Ibanez (attached pic) has been mine for 2 weeks and set me back £700. It is definitely worth it. Sounds fantastic and is not at all heavy for such a serious piece of wood.
So yeah. Hi.
