    Hermann Kempf Six String Bas

    Hello, everyone.
    I'm selling my six-string Hermann Kempf bass.
    It is a Chinese bass, ideal for someone wanting to see if a six-string bass is right for him/her (without "investing" too much in this experiment, that is), like I did.
    All things considered, the tone is pretty good and, if a six string is for you, you can definitely use it for a while before getting a better one. Alternatively, it can be a more-than-appropriate replacement for the "you never know" circumstances.
    I have no hard-case for it.
    Willing to have you try it (in Genoa) and to ship (buyer incurs costs and risks). As I have no hard-case, we'll have to agree upon a way to ship it.

    Ibanez AGBV 205A TCL Artcore Vintage

    Hello, everyone.
    I'm selling my semi-acoustic, short-scale (30 inches) Ibanez AGBV 205A bass.
    This is the "Artcore Vintage" version: artificially aged (the relic job is factory-made) in a "tobacco low gloss" colour.
    Very nice bass and quite rare (uncommon, at least) in the 5 string version.
    The low "B" is not a champion of definition but is definitely more than acceptable (especially considering the short scale). Comes with flat-wound strings.
    I'm selling it because I changed genre and I'm no longer using it that much.
    Willing to have you try it (in Genoa) and to ship (buyer incurs costs and risks).

    Hello, everyone.
    I'm selling my acoustic-electric Takamine TB10 bass, with on-board "CoolTube CTP-2" tube preamp.
    Awesome bass: basically a miniaturised double bass (does not have the same acoustic tone, but has the same amplified tone), on a 34 inch scale.
    I'm selling it because I changed genre and I'm no longer using it that much.
    Includes hard-case (the handle is a bit damaged but can be repaired).
    Willing to have you try it (in Genoa) and to ship (buyer incurs costs and risks).

    What I know about these is based on a general interest in (and the resulting knowledge of) 80s era MIJ basses. Specifically I recently purchased an Aria Pro SB-ELT, from about 1988/9 - which is constructionally nearly identical to your bass, and what led me to judge that yours is from the same period & manufacturer.

    My SB-ELT is the post-Matsumoku version of the earlier SB-Elite II / SB-R80 model & is identifiable by having a simplified control layout and no serial or MIJ stamp. There's no 100% confirmation of manufacturer but several MIJ / Aria sites, forums & FB groups associate these with Tokai Gakki, who it's claimed, took over production of the high-end Aria Pro instruments after Matsumoku closed. Low & midrange instruments went to Cort in Korea. Examples of the SB-ELT apparently sometimes have an MIJ sticker on the headstock, but mine does not. There's also what appears to be an identical bass called an SB-RSZ, which I assume is a Rudy Sarzo signature model.

    I've found some pics of an ASB-60 model which appears identical to your ASB-65, but is described as short scale - I'm assuming yours is a full 34" / 864mm?

    All this could be easily cleared up if there were any catalogues from the correct period available - but unfortunately I'm unable to find any complete scans of Aria catalogues from the 87-90 era, which is where I'm sure your bass fits in.

    Hi, Bassassin.  Sorry, I saw your post only now.

    The info I included in the "for sale" post is all info I received from the guy who traded the bass to me.  Perhaps some of it is a bit inaccurate, as you pointed out.

    I did, in fact, look at the back of the headstock and it has neither a serial number nor a "CIJ/MIJ" marking (which I find odd, in retrospect).

    That said, the rest of the info seems correct and the bass is, in fact, in perfect working order as well as aesthetically in excellent/mint conditions.

    Since you seem to know quite a bit about these instruments (more than I, obviously), what do you think of the price I'm asking.  Is it fair, do you think?

    I'm not entirely sure it's a "prototype", but I am entirely sure it's a bit later than you suggest - it's a post-Matsumoku bass from the late 80s/early 90s, and seems to represent a halfway-house between the post-Mat SB basses & the IGB series.

    You don't show any back-of-headstock pics, but I'm prepared to bet it has no s/n and no MIJ stamp - just like the post Matsumoku SBs, which are constructionally very similar. These are reckoned to be Tokai Gakki builds but that's not confirmed.

    Wonder if it's a Japan-only market bass - a quick search turned up a few on Japanese retail websites, like this fetchingly-coloured example:

    Hi, all.
    I'm selling a 1985 Aria ASB-65, Crafted in Japan, in Excellent/Mint Conditions.
    It's a "prototype" built in approximately 500 units between 1985 and 1986 in Matsumoku.
    Although it's more than 30 years old, it does not show!!! The previous (and practically sole) owner has kept it maniacally (much more than I or anyone would have done): every month sending it to the luthier, waxing it and playing it a bit just not to let it rest too much untouched!!!
    The reason why I'm selling is that I received it as a trade but it's not what I was after.
    As to the price, since there's absolutely no active market for these, I quote what I perceive its value to be (1.000 Euros). If you have a different perception and want to make an offer, let's talk.

    Hello, everyone.
    I’m selling a [u]Fender Custom Shop 1955 Precision Bass NOS (New Old Stock) Master Built by Dennis Galuszka (MBDG)[/u].
    I don’t think it needs much of an introduction. At any rate, the specs are: ash body (I think with a great figuring), maple neck (I’d say quarter sawn, with a soft “V” profile), rosewood fretboard (in my opinion, with a great “tone” to it), BadAss II bridge, Hipshot tuners, “F” hole and semi-hollow body (small cavity under the "F" hole).
    It’s a 2008 bass in close-to-perfect conditions, part of a limited run (8-10 pieces), and it’s a copy of an instrument built by Dennis Galuszka himself for Mike Dirnt (Mike Dirnt’s, which is identical, can be seen in the last picture from 2015). In my pictures, it mounts a custom transparent pickguard, built on exact measures (clearly, respecting the screws’ positioning) to make the wood stand out. Naturally, I will also supply the original pickguard (identical to the one in the last picture) as well as the original hard case (by G&G) and Fender Custom Shop’s certificate of authenticity (signed by Dennis Galuszka).
    It has Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Flats (JR344) strings on which, in my opinion, really make it shine (but that’s a matter of personal taste).
    Personally, I use it in a jazz/blues context (up to my limited abilities!!!), but I’d say it can easily adapt to any other context. It has a fantastic tone (definitely very “P”), very present and well balanced on all strings (which to me is an important trait).
    As to the price, I looked on www.Thomann.de and new Master Built Custom Shop Precision basses are between 4.800 and 5.200 Euros. Therefore, it is priced to sell at [u][s]2.500[/s] 2.350 GBP or [s]3.250[/s] 2.750 EUR[/u] (the price is a bit negotiable for a cash payment). I’m not sure I want to take trades, but I’ll consider sensible offers: with balance to be settled either way.
    [u][b]The bass is in Genoa, Italy[/b][/u] and anyone is more than welcome to come and try it in person (!!!). Naturally, I’m willing to ship.
