But then you are not able to ga back to the more brutal sound of an HB-1 without EQ-ing back. ;-)
-
You do'nt even need to swap the pickups to get a 4003 sound. The HB-1 (pickup) has 4 wires. Just connect 1 coil and you have a vintage 4001 sound. Diagrams are available on the internet to have a switch for dual/single coil, or even the tone knob to gradually adding the second coil.

Sorry Thunderbird but I have to keep these 2 4004's I have. ;-) One is a (converted) 5 stringer which is my main bass these days, the other is in BlueBurst which happens to be a colour I really love.
-
Wow, what a lovely wood. I wish I did not have 2 4004's allready. ;-)

PM'd for the Mooer's.

I posted this Basschat ad to a Dutch bassguitarist forum also. There was someone there looking for a Rick with a smaller (preferably Jazz-like) neck. How is this neck?
-
I love seeing and hearing you play a Rick Jaymi. Even gives me a GAS attack, but I have 2 AZG's allready. ;-) One of them being a '73 4001 with CB, etc..... the other a 4001S. I hope it sells well. Both my AZG's came from the states as well and where much more expensive.

GBP or USD?

4 or 8 ohm, that is the question....... -

I will get me a beer and some chips and take my position on the couch to watch this. ;-) (And yes, I'm proud to own 13 Rickenbacker's of which 10 are basses and 2 are bass amplifiers. ;-))

Until fairly recently RIC didn't have a trademark in the design in the UK - they've now registered the headstock.
Interesting. Do you have any idea if they have these trademarks also in the rest of Europe? -
Beautifull. Would be a nice twin next to my '79 4001 JG FL.
-
Pictures please! Before this is sold and you cant make any pictures anymore. Pity I'm in Holland and really do not need yet another amp. ;-)
-
I'm glad it is too far away. This would look lovely in the living room. ;-) (Not very practical to transport I'm afraid.)
-
Could you contact me if you want to sell this (or just tell if you do not want to sell (to me))? Both message and mail did not work sofar.
[edit] there is no need anymore. I just bought a Korg. Pity though. The Fender would have been a nice fit above my Fender TBP-1 preamp. ;-) -
You have a personal message on this.

I bought 2 GT10B tutorial DVD's from Chris (username Walker).
Good communications. Items packed very well and send fast after payment. And a nice price (must say I suggested the price myself. ;-)). -
This is now sold pending payment.
Thank God. Now I can stop thinking what to sell for this.... ;-) -

Sorted!
Thanx a lot for your effort! I was hoping you misadvertised a bridge pickup surround. But what you have is more often called a cover instead of a surround. (At least on the Rickenbacker fora where I spend most of my time. ;-)) -

Waiting for pics. -
Hi again, I just re-read the blurb that I linked to and it is correct. If you scroll The Supreme is lower down and it says that it's maple...
Aha. I stand corrected. This bass is on my GAS list somewhere. Put it will be for some more time unfortunately. ;-) -
I thought the SG Supreme was (at least partly) maple. The link indicates mahogany.

I know someone in Holland wanting a RED BT/BH Rickenbacker (as I think I can see in your avatar) Spacey. So you will have money for Shaun's bass then. ;-)
