  1. *FOR SALE*   De Gier Bebop PJ Hybrid   *FOR SALE*

    Re-Priced - £2250

Bebop No.163 is a hybrid of Bebop 60 (AKA Bebop Classic) and Bebop 70 (now known as Bebop) specs, with a P pickup and some other added extras. It was made for me by Sander in November 2017, and as such I am the sole owner in it's lifetime thus far. The bass has been an absolute joy to play as it's an extremely versatile instrument with it's pickup configuration, D-tuner, and killswitch (really helpful with having separate bridge and neck vols!).

The De Gier Bebop preamp is by far the most natural sounding onboard preamp I have ever heard in an active bass (I have played active Fenders, Zons, Mtds, Lulls and more) and I spent a long time trying to find the most balanced PJ set I could. The dual tone mid switch let’s you toggle between a more traditional 60’s sounding mid range, and a more scooped 70’s sounding mid range. All in all the bass has a super punchy sound, with some lovely sweet highs. My particular favourite settings are br. vol 100%, ne. vol 90%, 60’s tone 65%, b boost 40%, tr boost 50%. A very tasteful and very musical sounding bass that is not overrun by it’s electronics.

Due to the shape of the neck, you can really fly around on the bass (if that's your thing) and the slightly tapered body sits nicely. The weight is around 9-9.5lbs, but I've got no way getting any more accurate than that at present- in any case, it's not heavy at all, and it balances perfectly.   It's been gigged a fair amount, but is in extremely good condition, aside from a few marks, mostly caused by strap rubbing on the flat finish (all pictured). If I'm honest, it still feels like it's fresh from Sander's workshop every time I pick it up.

It'll be a hard one to let go, for sure... but I tend to use fivers right now, and it's just not getting played. Please feel free to ask me any questions, should you have any.

  2. FOR SALE

Xotic X Blender is as new condition. Think I’ve only used it a handful of times in the house and at one gig. It’s an awesome and extremely useful pedal, mainly for blending in your dry to your wet tones, but comes with a load of other cool features too. I found it handy for use as kind of a line selector too.

    Comes in box.

    Add £5 for postage

  3. SOLD

Utterly fantastic lightweight neo cab. It’s had very little use (pretty much entirely home use aside from maybe two gigs) and is in fantastic condition. I’m selling as it’s been part of my back up/home setup which is far too much for what I actually need.

Getting one new with the cover from Bass Direct will cost you £650. I’ll post but it’ll cost a little extra.

  4. I’d imagine if you’ve clicked on this, you know what you’re looking at. If you’re interested, and want to see photos please feel free to message me. Shipping will be £10. Aside from the velcro (which is awesome super strong quality velcro) on the underneath, this pedal is like new. I’ve only had it out the box a few times in the house, it’s never been gigged. Includes ALL the sounds and presets!!

Go on, you deserve it, treat yourself!

  6. After that MTD sound? Buy this Bart MTD preamp! £90 delivered. Particularly good for anyone who wishes to upgrade their Kingston.

Features Volume, Pan, Bass, Treble, Mid and 3 position mid selector switch.

Note that this has an input jack designed to go into an MTD, so will probably require a slight mod/bit of routing to fit most basses.

  7. Reduced to £2200 plus postage.

The eagle eyed among you may have noticed I've listed this bass before... It's a tough one to let go of, but at the end of the day, it's not getting the use it deserves. As I still absolutely love the bass, it will only be leaving me for either the price stated, or a suitable trade (UK only).

*UPDATE- I may consider sensible offers

This bass is fantastic. I’ve never owned such an amazingly well balanced and well crafted instrument. Each note, from the low B (big thumbs up) to the A at the 26th fret rings perfectly with sweet resounding loveliness. The neck is incredibly warm sounding for a composite, and it does not move. You could take this bass from sub zero to sub tropical and I seriously doubt the neck would move even a mm. Fancy changing the gauge of your strings? Bang whatever set you like on, you’ll not have to worry about the setup. All this makes this bass the perfect touring bass.

It’s smooth, it cuts, it has punch, growl. It’s a great bass. And it would probably cost about twice as much to buy new. It’s in great condition aside from a couple of minor dings on the bottom (just scratches in the poly finish), that to be honest I totally forgot about, so I will try and photograph them too.

Has a Bartolini NTMB preamp (which is a big improvement, in my opinion) fitted at present, but will be sold with the original preamp also.

    - Spalted Alder body with master grade Redwood Burl top

    - 26 fret Composite Neck with abalone inlays and matching headstock

    - Black hardware (Zon bridge, gotoh tuners)

    - Bartolini Soap Bars

    - Zon/Polyfusion preamp

The only trades I’m really interested in are 34” 5 string MTDs, Elrick Evos, Ken Lawrences, Adamovics, Mattissons or perhaps maybe those ones with the purdy butterfly on the headstock ;)

Pics and sound clips at the link below (use headphones!).
