The nearest I can describe the intermittent fault I have been experiencing, is it sounds like my Bass starts playing with no Bass sound as though there is only treble in use the volume seems to sound louder and sharper.
I use a Schecter with EMG active pick ups.
New strings and battery installed and still the same.

I got someone to measure the 4 pots ohms value on the bass.

The following results came out
Pot 1 Vol 3.83
Pot 2 3.83
Pot 3 18.80
Pot 4 Tone 13.67.

I have no technical knowledge hope these results may reveal if there is an explanation.

I had one of these and tried playing it near on max for about 1/2hr or so and it distorted. I believe it was overheating and worked normally when turned down.

Hi All,
I have only now noticed that during the bass solo of Alright Now by Free there is a run up half way through the solo. I have bought the Tab book music for this and its not been transcribed. I have been trying to make out whats going on but cant quite get it. Does anyone no what notes are playing to create the small run up?

I was looking to spend £200 max on second hand. That one you linked to e-bay would have been perfect. Now I will look for another similar. Thanks for the response. I am more concerned about weights but at least I know a little mor about the wattage I need when looking.

They are only using 2 out front speakers, I wanted to use my bass pod but buy my own monitor to hear what I am playing and cut down on carrying heavy amps etc. I am vey limited on technical knowledge on setting up PA systems and add ons. I normally take my amp and plug and go.

Hi I have bought a line 6 bass pod and it works well through our 1200watt PA system. I would like to buy myself a light weight monitor so that I dont give my self a hernia lumpimg the rest of my equipment. I have no idea of what I need. Any advice would be greatful

Hi All,
I have been looking round and found what I was mumbling on about. What I was reffering to was line 6 PODS etc. Line 6 have an online library where individual tones are stored where you download them to your pod via a PC.

Does anyone Know of any other manufacture other than line6 who allows you to download ready made tones and transfer them to your effects unit. I found line6 stuff is generally more expensive than others.

Hi All,
Has anyone seen a bass effects pedal that has different amps and guitars pre-set in them. I thought I read somewhere about a bass pedal that did this and also you could download patches for individual styles of songs to mimic exactly how the original was done. This would help no end if there was as I seem to spend a lot of time trying to fiddle with different settings to get near songs. If anyone knows of an effects pedal as such please let me know as I have some xmas money burning a hole in my pocket.

I am looking for a quality Bass teacher, I live in Holt North Norfolk, and I am willing to travel 20 miles or so for the right lessons. I would much rather learn from a true bass player, rather than a guitarist who also teaches bass. I have been playing for 2 years or so but need to be pushed on and improve to the next level.

I have to say on the verse before you play the Bb to the G I am sure I can here him play one ghost note to give it that disco feel. I have to agree that some disco stuff does take a lot of practice it took me ages to do the typical disco root/octave disco beet and the only thing was to play it over and over.
My next project will be the big bass solo on Sir Duke so if any one has the correct music or general info that will make life easier feel free to let me Know

I have been looking on line at times to buy real bass tab music and sometimes find it difficult to find some songs i have been looking for. Does any one know of a web site to buy bass tab music that has a comprehensive catalogue, preferablly one you can buy and download

Hi I have been trying to learn the song thats the way i like it by KC and the sunshine band. the tab I found was not totally correct. Does anyone Know how to play this if so can you send the proper tab. As usual there is a dude on youtube doing the correct method but i cant make out what hes playing.

Hi all, the double stops on the E root work right up to the last double stop.
for 1 my bass doesnt have 26 frets. Any ideas on how to create the last double stop in the sequence.

Hi I have watched a video on youtube of white lines grandmaster flash. The bass being used is a 5 string. On the intro he plays chords, the first chord is a D shape, 10th fret on the A string and 12th fret on the G string.
I cant make out what chords are next and how to adapt the song to suit a 4 string bass to create the same sound, can this chord sound only be created on a 5 string should I give up or has anyone any ideas?
