Hi,
I can see you recently sold a GK Fusion 800S, i'm considering selling my SVT 2Pro and switching to the same GK head, the SVT is just too heavy now, or i'm just too old!
I'd be very interested to hear your opinion on the GK live sound, difficult to find genuine reviews on some gear. I'd be running through either an SVT 4x10, or a 2x10 mesa powerhouse.
Thank you -

Hi,
Thanks for responding. I am concerned about the hifi sound, although I'm not sure how much of that you'd pick up in a gig.
I've only really used Ampeg stuff live, SVT 3's & 2, other than a few years with a VBA 400 like you have which was an absolutely solid piece of kit, and there's nothing hi-fi about any of those, but the SVT2 at 78lbs is just too much now, and I'm hoping the GK gets close enough to that.
As with most bass gear when its reviewed on youtube, its very hard to get a real feel of what its going to sound like in a live setting.
It's a difficult journey back from all valve though!
You opinion is much appreciated👍😁
