Met up with Al Krow on Saturday for a VK 210 swap. Great gear and very easy process. Also had a great time geeking bass and band stories. Great to meet another bass player of a certain age

In recent years I’ve had the TC RH460, Aguilar TH500 and now with the Darkglass 900. The Aggie was a definite uplift on the TC, although the fan noise was a bit announcement . Now, I’m totally sold on the Darkglass.  Great build quality and looks, lightweight, bundles of power and a great tone paired with my Vanderkley LNT210. I dial in just a little overdrive and it gives a great sound.  Whilst all the video ad’s show the head being used for metal, I’m playing soul and funk and it gives me a great sound and exactly what I’ve been looking for.

The frequency Response: 250 Hz – 20 KHz

According to reviews, the bigger issue is that it has next to zero impact on the impedance if your amp/speakers.

Should address the issues of definition when using cabs that are much lower than my ears (I'm 6'1"). Should work in a similar concept to the Bose Acoustimass idea.

Mine is due to arrive next week (from Thomann). Will let you know how it goes.

I assume from your mail it's a 4 string, but do you have any pictures you can share?

I have a Sadowsky Metro MV5, Dark cherry, Tortoiseshell scratch plate and maple neck that is around 20 months old that I might be interested in exchanging. Having problems loading picture up here, but can email if interested.

My first Hondo bass was goddamn awful, but then I played a Westone Thunderer (I think thats what it was called) .... truly awful!
