You will all be so sorry you did not get this. It is among the best fretless basses that Alan from ACG has ever built, if not the best full stop. Which is saying something, as the bar is high with ACG fretless basses. I was assuming it had long since been sold, but you missed it! Rest assured this is going to a good home. And it will not come up for sale again, not in my lifetime. My precioussssss......

I bought from David his Tecamp Puma 1000 head. What a lovely little magic box it is. It came exactly as described, in the original box with manual and everything. It was sent out quickly after payment and came with T&T so I could keep track of it's travels through continental Europe (that sounds enormous, it was here in two days). David answered all my questions, his answers were prompt, correct and thoughtful. Excellent communication, just as others have mentioned before. Thumbs up for the amp and the seller, thank you David.

And I have done so karlfer. This little gem should now be travelling to my place. I have used a smaller Tecamp head which I enjoyed very much. Great tone out of the box, effective EQ and the magic Taste button, also very effective. The Puma 1000 adds more power (some cabs need quite a bit to get loud) and a few extra options, most notably a compressor. I am looking forward to it.

An ACG Graft Recurve 5 fretless with a figured maple top, much like [url="http://www.acguitars.co.uk/acg_admin/wordpress/portfolio/2893/"]this one[/url] , minus frets.


Preferably with 3+2 headstock and East U-Retro.

Bit late, but here goes anyway. I have had a Spectorcore as a backup fretless. With the combination of the HZ pickup and the piezo bridge you can dial in a very upright-ish tone. I was quite surprised with that, hadn't expected a Spector to sound like that. The semi-hollow is not an issue with resonance or whatever, these are not true acoustic basses, rather "chambered". Closer to solid body than to full acoustic. Well made, good value, all IMO. I'd still like to own a 5str Spectorcore some day for that upright-like tone. No complaining here though, as I now have an ACG fretless 5 string J-type. Highly recommended, and Alan is a top bloke.
