I've just started to watch the episode which focuses on thrash, within the first few minutes they are in the SF rehearsal studio for the Bay Area thrash bands and already Testament and Exodus are heavily featured.

  3. Hey guys,

Im looking around for a new amp for playing hard rock/heavy metal type stuff, looking for a head thats about 500w, cab wise im considering either a lightweight 4x10 or maybe 2 'heavy' 2x10's

budget of about £1k could probably go a bit over (brownie points for being under tho :D )

currently using a little ashdown combo and liking the tone so thinking of moving up to the ABM range but want to know what else is out there you guys can recommend?

  4. Hey Guys,

can anyone tell me if these are any good? if not, what would you recommend?

    Cheers

    Thankyou buddy :)

I get the sound from my pedalboard + Zoom B3, and the video from a 12 megapixel pocket camera. The picture quality would actually be loads better, but I have to compress the hell out of it because my laptop is 12 years old and super slow

Bloody hell! i thought i was in the dark ages using a 5 year old laptop!

  6. hey guys,

Ive got an audition for a metal band soon that plays in drop c, my current set of EB super slinkys (45-100) feel a little floppy in this tuning.

Would you guys recommend getting a heavier 4 string set eg. 55-110 or getting a standard 5 string set but just using the bottom 4 strings?

Both great basses... So although not always a good strategy... who are your favourite players? What do they use?

If versatility is your thing, perhaps the Warwick. But if you like that new string twang.... could be the P. Are you pick or fingers... Warwick is kind of a more fingers bass, P has many fine pick players to commend it...

Finally, not very artistic but you could go with the economics... what's the best deal you can get?

I must admit more of my favorite players play P's than Warwicks

Im more of a pick guy but trying to build the fingers up (one day ill be able to gallop like Steve Harris :D )

out of the 2 ive been looking at, the warwick is about £200 cheaper (for a used, the P is new)
