  1. I've been using a WM for a year or two now, and just picked up a BS-1 a few days ago - out of curiosity an that fact that it was only 20 quid!

It's definitely worth a go! Like Kev mentioned above the Pinch control doesn't work quite as well/get as tight but otherwise it makes the right noise. You can definitely hear the price difference between the two when you compare them but the Little Bear is a really good alternative if you want to save £100+!

I'm wondering what experiences any of you other WM guys have had with putting it behind other pedals? It seems to be standard practice not to put Boss or other buffered pedals before them so that the impedance isn't lowered - does only having true-bypass pedals before the WM make any difference? I usually use an OC-2 before the WM but I'm considering switching it out for the Octamizer.

  2. I've been using an original Prometheus for a while now and it's one of the fattest filters I've played with! Definitely worth a try. The only drawback if any is that that controls are very sensitive so keeping a really fine setting takes a good memory if the knobs get knocked askew when you're on the go. Haven't tried the updated version but it looks way too soundbloxy for me lol.

  3. Mint Condition, bareley used Nano Bass Big Muff. Selling as I got it as a spare to save taking a whole board to some gigs and just never really used it. It's cheap and cheerfull, sounds great!

£35 + postage, or collect in Edinburgh :)

Cheers man, I'll have a look for it. Was gonna get one anyway but hoping I can take it on work gigs where there's no amp so I don't have t go and buy something different for that haha.

For a 15 cab my Compact is pretty small - the new ones have 12s I think so I'm guessing they'd be smaller still! Fits in the boot easily enough. As for weight you can literally lift it with your little finger, which makes you look really strong and manly.

Why is the 18" deep SL112 a problem? The Berg 12's are 15" and the Compact is 12". Why is that extra 6" a deal breaker?

It's because I don't drive. So I'm after something that I can walk around with easily enough and i found that bit of depth made it feel really awkward :)

    Cheers

    I received a Tone Hammer 350 today.

Bloomin' loudest 350W I've ever heard. Louder than the 500W Ampeg it's replacing by miles. It's got the same Bang and Olufsen poweramp as in a lot of 500W+ heads. If you're not fussed about the effects loop then I'd go for the 350.

My cab's a Barefaced Compact, generation 2. It sounds amazing. :)

Nice one man :) Yeah I kinda wanted the effects loop for some stuff. How Is the compact for weight/size? Kinda stuck between that and the Midget.
