Just to update this, emailed Fender GBI and asked the question and got told:

"Essentially they are the same, it is still part of the Modern Player family. Specs wise there is no difference"

Thanks for the info gentlemen, that vintage cherry burst is lovely - can't see any appearing on the s/h market for a while which is a shame

Does anyone know if this "Special Edition" Cornado on the Fender site:

is the same as the MIC Modern Player Coronado model?

The previous owner split it into a head and combo and then bolted it back together, hence the DIY job on the sides

Due to the condition I appreciate it won't be worth too much but I'd like to get a ballpark so I can move it on and get a lightweight combo!

My bass rig also has to go

It consists of an EVO II 500w 2x10" combo in good condition as well as an EVO 1x15" extension cab in good condition, save a couple of scuffs in the vinyl covering.

The combo also comes with a heavy vinyl cover and a heavy duty speakon cable to connect the pair. The combo has one of the small white EQ slider knobs missing (see image) and some mild oxidisation on the metal corner protectors but this is only noticeable close up.

The rig is in perfect working order and has only been gigged a few times over the last 5 years.

I'm in Cornwall, and these things are very heavy, so a local-ish sale would be preferred. I could deliver to Cornwall/Devon for petrol costs, or meet someone there half-way from further afield.
