1. Having recently got a Squier VM Jaguar bass and a Squier VM Jazz this is no longer needed so i'm looking to sell it on. It's a Squier P-Bass special in pewter. Recently had it set up and serviced so plays nicely and sounds great. Has plenty of dings and scratches as it's been well used over the years, including a couple on the back of the neck. Looking for £150 ono delivered, or collected from Lyneham, Wiltshire for £135

2. NOW SOLD

Haven't used this for a while so i'm selling it. It's a Session Pro DD506 electronic drum kit (without the drum brain) with loads of upgrades. You can see the standard thing here:

http://www.guitar.co...ectric_drum_kit

As I said, it doesn't come with the drum brain, I replaced it with an Alesis Trigger IO. It has no built in sounds, it's meant to be plugged into a PC and used with MIDI sounds. You can read more about it here:

http://www.alesis.com/triggerio

I've replaced the snare with a Jobeky one similar to this mesh head one:

http://www.jobekydru...products_id=233

and replaced the 3 other pads with smaller 8" mesh head pads.

It comes with the original kick drum pad and original drum pads should you wish to use them, plus a mesh kick drum pad that needs repairing, and also comes with a double kick pedal, and 2 hi hat pedals.

So to recap, it's a dd506 kit with an alesis trigger io drum brain, and the following:

1 x snare style Jobeky mesh head
3 x smaller mesh head pads
3 x standard non mesh pads
1 x non mesh head kick pad
1 x mesh head kick pad (in need of repair!)
hi hat, cymbal, and ride pads
standard hi hat pedal and a Roland hi hat pedal (which works a lot better)
the frame and cables
Double Kick pedal

I'm looking for £200 collected from Lyneham in Wiltshire. It's all packed down and ready to go!

3. Well so far i've been very impressed by the amp! It's very loud for it's size and I had no problem being heard in a loud practice. Still yet to use it in a gig situation though! The toneprint stuff is pretty good, but annoying that I have to either connect it to a PC or use my phone to change presets. There is an on/off switch for that so i'll probably choose either a distortion or compression setting and leave it at that. The built in tuner works well.

4. Bought a second hand Squier Jaguar VM which arrived yesterday, and it's a beauty! Tried it in a practice session last night and it sounded and played wonderfully. Got a really nice aggressive sound out of it. It looks like the pickups have been swapped out for something else - anyone have an idea what they might be (blurry pics below)?

5. I'm on the lookout for a bass amp and was hoping I could get some recomendations. I have a £350 budget for a giggable lightweight combo. I play modern rock type music. I was looking at the TC Electronics BG250 and it seems to fit the bill, but I can't find it in stock anywhere! Are there any other comparable amps in the same price bracket? Are there any decent heads and cabs in that price range that aren't too heavy to lug around? The last time I had a bass amp was about 10 years ago so i'm well out of touch unfortunately!

Cheers

Jon

6. That's very kind of you! I think I'm sorted now though. A friend of mine is going to have a look at it and sort it for me hopefully, and i've promised the old neck to someone on here to practice on! Keeping my eyes peeled for a neck and a nice light and giggable amp now!!

Great choice - the VM Jaguar is a great, great bass for the money. My avatar is my tarted up one (more pics on website). I love it! :)
