1. Sold my beloved Dingwall to James, after it being on Sale for over 7 months - Really happy to sell it to James and was refreshing to do business with someone who was so understanding and didn't mess around

lovely stuff!

2. NOW SOLD
£1300
£1200

Sadly having to sell this wonderful bass as it does not get the use it deserves….

I think I bought It back in 2011 from Bass Direct, it has a few scars on it, 2 major ones are some wear by the neck pickup and a dent by the volume pot [both pictured]

Comes with original gigbag

I am based in Bristol and am happy to drive to meet depending on the distance, also happy to get it couriered at the expense of the buyer.

Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask

Ideally like to sell them as a pair but will consider offers if you just want one.

4. Yeah I'm not interested in anything particularly advanced, I just need simple controls and something that takes up as little real estate as possible.

Cool board man, that looks so convenient!

5. Hey all,

Been trying to get my hands on a Fairfield Circuitry accountant compressor for over 8 weeks now and the only UK distributor seems to be Guitar FX direct and it's just hopeless really so I've given up.

My other alternatives seem to be

Xotic SP Compressor - can't find any online feedback about what it's like with bass, any advice?
Malekko Omicron Compressor
Mooer Audio Yellow

Really open to any ideas, budget of about £150

Let me know your thoughts or experiences!

Many thanks

6. Everytime I turn my amp head on I get this horrendous hissing, some days I'll turn it on and I won't get any kind of noise. the volume of the noise is dependant on the volume of the gain.

The fequency of the hissing sometimes changes too which makes me think it could be some kind of interference, anyway, I have no idea what's going on.

Have a look at the video below for what happens and if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

7. [s]I've had this wonderful instrument since they released the Pawn shop series, unfortunately I just don't get enough use out of it and can't justify having it.

I've never gigged it and it's virtually spotless, there is one or two very minor scratches on the back, I tried to take a photo but they didn't even show up.

This comes without any kind of straplocks on it. Comes with all the paperwork, allan keys, Fender gigbag and tremolo arm

If you're interested or want anymore pictures don't hesitate to drop me a message.

8. This little unit converts the 9v supply to a 12v stream

'There are loads of pedals out there now that require a higher than normal 12V DC voltage; TRex Replica, the Empress SuperDelay, Providenece Chrono Delay, just to name a few. If you own a T.C. Electronics Nova Delay or any of the Nova series then the SupaNova is for you . Want to run your AnalogMan chorus at 12V? Then just pop this adapter on the end of Distributor powered by your Generator and the pedal will be receiving 12V DC.'

I bought this secondhand off BC a few weeks ago, turns out the SuperNova doesn't work with the MarkBass SuperSynth and I'm just going to have to power it separately

£40 delivered, if you have any questions just drop me a line!

Cheers
9. I've got a slicer and it's great at what it does, however there is a few problems with it:

1. You can't specifically outline the steps you want it to take - although it does have arpegiator-like functions, you can't really work outside the parameters of what's been programmed into the pedal, unless you want to change the duty. It's not REALLY an arpergiator more of a rhythmic tremolo with some harmony functions.

2.Within a band context, sure it's got the tap tempo but because of the nature of the effect there's no room for error, it's difficult enough getting it to sync to a click track perfectly, let alone a drummer.

HOWEVER

I haven't tried it out yet but I have a feeling that the best way is to use the MIDI input on that badboy and then if your drummer is playing to a click everything should fall into place.

(this is all assuming you want to use the arpegiator in a band context - apologies for the rant if not)

You'd be paying over the odds at £1100, some colours are more desirable than others, its not a common colour but I don't think it's 'custom shop'. It also comes from a notoriously poor period for Fender. The most valuable Mustangs are the very early ones with competition stripes and/or matching head stocks. There's a mint 70's one going for £850 at the moment and its not shifting. My early 70s one in original condition went for under £500. Today's market is incredibly unpredictable and being a shorter scale model it's not exactly 'A' list. Play it and enjoy it and hang on to it for another 20 years!
Yes I agree, the guy who gave it to me just kept saying 'custom shop colour' and I didn't really know what he was on about.

12. I've had this beauty for a few months now and I got a very good price on it via ebay

It's a 1978 American Fender Mustang Bass in (what I'm told by the previous owner) is a custom shop colour - Cappuccino

I'm just putting out a few feelers as to how much I should be asking for this, from what I can gather it seems about £1,100 - but I'm not entirely sure.

What do you guys think? - (see pics below)

Cheers

13. Yeah I'm about to buy a Wooly Mammoth Clone and I've got a B3K so hopefully they should do the trick, for pitch shifting I've got the Whammy V. Hmmmmm a modulation...any thoughts?

14. Hi guys, recently been looking into recreating synthesised bass sounds

This is really the best example of the kind of stuff I'm trying to make:

I'm just looking for some advice on what you guys think are the best pedals are for this kind of stuff, on my list at the moment:

BOSS OC-2 ( looking to buy one so hit me up if you're selling)
MOOG MOOGERFOOGER LOW PASS FILTER with expression pedal (same applies!)

Just to make it clear, I'm not looking for dirty dubstep wobbles, stuff that's a bit more subtle and really makes use of the low end
Let me know what you guys think would be useful!

Many thanks

J

15. I've got an Ebow plus for sale, barely used, never gigged, comes in its original box with instructions.

It's quite underrated for bass, I think it's great! - Very useable sounds.

£65

PM me if you're interested!

The EBow is a hand-held electronic bow for guitar. This small battery-powered unit replaces the pick in the right hand letting the guitarist mimic strings, horns, and woodwinds with unbelievable sensitivity.
The EBow produces a powerful infinite sustain, rich in harmonics for incredible guitar sounds. Unlike plug-in effects, the Energy Bow does its work on the string itself... Direct String Synthesis.
