1. Hi everyone, just out of interest would anyone know if there are different colour scratch plates available for the modern player 5 string? Cant seem to find one online, debating buying a regular 5 string plate and cutting more of a hole for the hum bucker pick up! Would be nice to have a different colour available just to change things up everyone once in a while,
thanks in advance,

+1. Tab will probably just tell you to hold an A,but as above I think a matter of feel and locking with the drummer. If you watch some live recordings its pretty much A and octave and little runs from the the A oct G,E and to the lower A. Nice to play the alternating A on the D string with the open A string too.Jam and feel!!

+1 +1. Seem to have it all sussed here guys 👍

3. When I started bass I was only 13 and got a ibanez EDB550 which was awesome for me with my small hands at the tender age of 13 lol. Also light as a feather and awesome active Duncan pick ups. Still sounds awesome today and still gets gigged every once in a while!

4. I use a OBT 500w with a sp210 and sp212 and they are great little cabs. So easy to store around the house and great for pub gigging because they have such a small footprint. Very reliable great sound! Say no more top cabs for their size! Hope you find one got mine on eBay!!!

5. Ive played both and they are both great in my experiences. Ive settled for Mexican standard being good enough for me so think why save up double the amount if i am happy with the standard of the mex's! Personal preference i suppose! I go on if i play it and am i happy how it feels and sounds that it doesn't matter where or who built it! lol

6. Spose i best chuck a picture of my collection on here for good measure :P

7. My latest purchase, my first black bass and my first five string! Satin finish Fender modern player :) Great value for money bass really pleased with it! Great pick up selector switch on these giving you plenty of sound options with those beasty Humbuckers!
