  1. Hi there guys.
It's been a while since I've posted here.
Complete change of life style means facing up to the fact I won't be playing much at all anymore, so looking to sell off a couple of basses and bits to pay bills and wedding costs...

Anyway, musicman bongo bass, double humbucker, 4 band eq, in a gorgeous teal pearl finish.
She's a right little beasty of a bass, stupidly flexible sounding with the 4 band eq and 'buckers.
Couple of scratches down the back of the neck, and the quintessential bongo paint chip on the headstock.
She's bren sitting in the ohsc in storage for a couple of years now, so will get it set up and checked over before its sold.

I'm based in St albans, and would really prefer pick up.
Will get pics up as soon as I get home tonight.
Looking for about £800, but open to sensible offers.

  2. Hi guys.
Haven't posted on here for quite a while, but have recently changed life style and location quite dramatically, so don't have time to play any more, so this is the first of a few posts to offload gear that just won't get used.

First up is a pair of Aguilar gs112 cabs. Owned both from new, about 2.5 years old, but haven't been used in anger for a while.

One has a white band logo stenciled on the front grill, but that's quite easily painted over.

Nice light weight, good and loud too.
Ideally looking for £500 for the pair, but open to offers. Currently located in luton, beds at my parents house, but I'm living in callington Cornwall, so can potentially have them there. Will be travelling back to Cornwall tomorrow, and unless I get a Cornish buyer soon, they will be residing at my parents where they can be seen and collected.

  4. Hey there guys.

I bought this cab about a year ago from Moos3h on here, just as a stop gap solution.
I'm now happy with my pair of Agulars, so this is taking up space, so its time to sell it on.
I paid £80 for it, and I'm only looking for £50.

It'd make a good cab for a first rig, a rehearsal room rig or a back-up.
I used it on its own with a relatively loud 3 piece, and it cut through quite nicely.

As its big bulky and so forth, I'm not going to ship it, nor do i drive, but £50 collected from Luton is reasonable i think!

Going to use James' image from his sale thread last year, hope thats ok.

    Cheers

  5. I made the biggest mistake I have ever madew at a gig last week.
As the most technology savvy member of the band (hmm...) I get lumbered with keys as well as bass, and also drum machine for the last song in our set.
We have a live drummer who plays along to this drum machine beat too, so we all need to hear it, and as we are quite a loud band, it can be pretty deafening when the beat kicks in.
    Anyway, i digress.

Last thursday, we pound through our set as normal, then theres a quiet-ish ambient song we play, before I hit the start button and heavy rave-tastic beats blast out of the speakers.
However, the drum machine had been switched off by some clump (that MIGHT have been me...) after we had set up to go on stage and got turned back on half way through the set when i realised it had been switched off.

We play the song at 142bpm.
The beat kicked in at 136bpm.
    oops.
