  1. Hey guys, I'm selling my Orange Bass Terror 1000. Pretty much brand new condition, includes the head bag, a very long speakon/jack lead, and a kettle lead. The original lead got knicked at a gig, so I've replaced it with a considerably longer lead. I'll post anywhere, at cost to the buyer, or deliver within a reasonable distance for the price of petrol. I'm based in Derby.

Price is £440 not including postage, but in terms of trades, pretty much all I'm looking for is a Bugera 1960 Infinium, and then the rest of the amps value in cash, but feel free to make me an offer, the worst I can say is no.

Pictures on request, since I don't have a decent camera lying around.

  2. Hey guys, i'm looking at picking up a new amp soon, and there is one specifically that's caught my eye, which is the Marshall Super Bass. My main reason for this, is that Lemmy uses one, and god damn I want that distortion sound.

Anyway, what I'm asking, is if there are any other amps similar to the Super Bass that i should look at, whether that be in terms of price, tone, weight, etc. Because I probably won't be picking one up for another month or so, so I've got a lot of time to consider my options.

  3. Being a young person, I have to say, it seems to me that there's been a lot of poorly thought out sentiment here, mainly from the older (I assume) that seems to be only listening to what comes out in the charts, and making their assumptions from that. I have to say, in my opinion at least, there hasn't been a pop song worth listening to that's made it into the charts in a while (not to say there haven't been decent songs in the charts, just not pop), where pretty much everything, not just the bass, was made using synths or programming. I think the lack of traditional bass guitar in this sort of crap is due to it being easier to make big bass sounds on a synth, than having to spend some actual time getting a great sounding bass tone on recording.

If you want to here some decent bass, don't listen to pop, for the most part you're only going to be disappointed. All of this being my opinion, of course.

Edit: Also, if I ever go into the studio, and the engineer mentions anything about mixing for phone speakers, or some other horrendous listening platform, I would not be best pleased.

  4. Because I'm an idiot, I forgot that I cant upload pictures with an iPad. With that in mind, if you want to see the pictures of the unit, message me with an email address, and I can get them to you as soon as I see the message.

  5. Hey guys, I'm looking to shift my Line 6 M9. Its in decent condition, no real wear on the unit, although there is a lot of Velcro on the bottom, since I could only find generic cheap Velcro when I put my board together. I can remove it if you want, but it may leave some unsightly marks on the bottom.

I'm looking for £225 for it, not including postage. However, I can reduce the price if you're willing to trade a Proco Rat, preferably a big box reissue; a Boss LS2/some sort of blender pedal; a decent tuner pedal or a decent phaser. If you have all of the items above and are willing, we can do a straight swap for it all.

The unit will be boxed, including the power supply, although I cannot remember if I still have all the documentation that came with the unit.

I'll upload pictures tomorrow, when there is a decent amount of light.

Just discovered this little number which already has an arpeggiator setting plus all the features of my MPXG2 and more processing power. But at US$2600-3000 plus whatever I lose on selling the MPXG2 units, I don't think I'll be buying one soon.[/quote]
If that one's a bit much, it may be worth checking out the AxeFX Ultra, the previous iteration of that technology. They're discontinued, but still available second hand from people looking to upgrade to the AxeFX II.
