    to heavy...

Too heavy? It is not a swamp ash with tonal chambers, it is an excellent full "hard" ash body (+ maple + purpleheart) . Well if it were unbalanced, it would be heavy on a shoulder, yes.  But a bit less than 5kg, in a perfectly balanced bass, you don't even perceive them. Specially with a good strap!

    Saturnino fan ?

Maybe not a fan, but I really like his tone and style!

  2. Wood&Tronics Orion (the new Epitome) 5 strings BO

    Conditions like new
    Body: ash
    Top: tiger maple
    Neck: maple
    Fingerboard: purpleheart 24 frets
    Dots: orange pearl
Pickups: W&T cusom single coil (neck) + W&T custom Jazzbucker (bridge)
Preamp: active/passive 3Leaf Pike Shapeshifter (blue and red modules included. The blue one is more....."vintage" and smooth, the red one..."modern" and growly) vol/bal, high, mid, bass, + mid freq switch

The Jazzbucker is a double single coil, you can switch between single/both/single
    - the one towards the neck is jazz "60 position, for a classic J 60 or "Jaco" style
    - the one near the bridge is more "dry"', a sort of "Alembic" style, and brighter
    - both....hold on tight and release the Kraken!
Really a HUGE sound variety and great playability!

I'm selling it to make a new one. This is s the first made, the s.n 01, initially it was to be called Orion, now it's Epitome (W&T made only some little design modifications)

  3. Samples should be ready tomorrow; and also some other pics of the back.

     - edit -

here some other pics, light isn't good (some yellow in the air), here in Veneto it's raining/snowing.

There was no time for the audio yet, the bass is still from W&T; but (I hope) tomorrow a small video should be ready; (Enrico , mr. W&T; will make it for me).

It's possibile (if new owner wants it) add a "metal decal" on the headstock.

  4. Thanks! Yes, it's special; It puts you in a good mood! At the moment it's at W&T's laboratory, to make a "last" setup, and to check that everything is ok (I know it's all ok, but for correctness, a last check up is a "must"), so for samples I have to wait this weekend. If it can be useful: in passive mode the sound "starts" form the Jazz 70 (ash, maple, 70 Pu positions), but with a lot more punch, and a lot of "wood grain" sound; mids are perfetcly balanced; in active mode you can "correct" them with the mid-sweep; with the others preamp  controls, the soundpan is almost unlimited, without ever losing its basic character.

  5. Reluctantly, I have to sell my W&T Patchwork, I need money for a new one (almost as crazy), and....a lot of other things.

    Model: Chronos 4
    Construction: Bolt On, 22 frets
    Body: European Ash
    Top: Quilted Maple
    Neck: 3pz Hard Maple
    Fingerboard: Bird's eye Maple
Preamp: John East J retro (active/passive,Vol, Bal, 3 way vol + high treble + mid sweep, active/passive tone)
    PU: Kent Armstrong single coils

Body shape has been redesigned, to "fit" perfectly with 4 strings and 22 fret (instead of standard 24)

    Great conditions!
    A truly crazy funk machine!

In some old photos it has quilted maple Pu's covers, now it has "clean maple" Pu's covers (1st and 2nd pics)

    Shipping included.
